sorry if thiss doesn't belong here but i still feel that i need to say that

The last chapter (ch04) in Hotarubi no Mori E also deals with incest, it displays the feelings of a sister towards his brother. It's a beautiful and sad little oneshot.

And as much as i see no one mentioned Brothers (YAMAMOTO Kotetsuko); it's about two stepbrothers whose parents got remarried and died soon after they moved in together, later they fell in love (kinda)

You know I kind of wonder if there is a manga that follows the everyday interactions of an incestuous relationship. The awkwardness during family gatherings, not to mention how messed up it would be if they should actually pursue their relationship to having a kid.

I find incestuous relationship very interesting, since it isn't really like your typical shoujo romance. It'll be very cool if there was a manga that really went that far (especially up to thinking of having children). But, of course I hope I'm wrong and there is one out there.

hmmm...i only watched the anime, from what i know you could consider it incest, until you come to the last two chapters

wooow how come i never thought of that, all the incest i've read up till now focused on the relationship between them only, i haven't read one with them having children...it would be awesome if there was one

Yeah, it would be kind of interesting to see what kind of outlook the mangaka would take. Lord knows that an incest baby in real life isn't exactly normal.

an incest baby can be normal. there's just a higher chance that it may have problems.

exactly. I saw a discovery channel special on incest and they said something like the average rate of defects from "normal" relationships was around 8%, for cousins it was near 15% or 20%, and for siblings it was way higher

i could be wrong, i dont remember the original numbers exactly

well who cares! this a manga, they could draw to us a shinny perfect baby if anybody know a manga with that kind of plot, please speak up.

That reminds me! I thought of a few more! There was an incest (sort of) oneshot titled Sweet Home in Mizu no Kioku. Cage by Tateno Makoto is also incest

yea, you get half of your dna markers and what not from each parent. so the closer that your parents are genetically the better chance you have of a repeat. not the most technical description, but hey

i understand you get genes from both parents, but that dosesnt explain why an incest baby has a higher chance of being abnormal
