21/f/South Africa, but going to university in the US. I
tend to read more off the wall seinen than anything else, A lot of psychological horror/scifi/fantasy, but I do have a special spot in my heart for schoolgirl shoujo-ai melodramas and josei like Kimi wa Pet. I also try to read any manga adaptations of mythology because I'm a mythtard. I really won't read any slice of life, yaoi, or traditional romance unless I've heard it has a lot of redeeming qualities.

favorite genres : funny, cool, bad-looking/cool looking chars, adventure with magic, less romance story but not too much friendship story, i rather like a main char that egoistical, selfish bastard, has no self-pride and not a crybaby
dislike genres : gore, too many blood/violence, full romance story, adventure with dull swords and friendship spirits, and also some nerd-stupid ass failed-main char like Shinji in NGE
oh forgot, some kinds of shounen-ai + shoujo ai too, but just some .. not all ....

I only used to watch anime and a few months ago somehow switched to reading manga =). I'm happy about the fact that there are still a lot of completely scanlatated series I haven't read.
I read almost anything except for shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, yaoi and yuri. For some reason can't also stand stories involving robots (i.e. mecha) or androids.
