Pet Shop of Horrors, I think, I'm not too sure....I read a couple of chapters and got bored, kinda wished I picked something better.

Tramps Like Us
I remember it was the only josei they sold.
Ahhhh back to the days when there was one shelf of manga at the book store.
Now there are two sections with at least two massive bookcases. :3

Quote from base_coat
Magical X Miracle is josei since Zero-Sum is a josei magazine and it's not surprising to me that this magazine published it.
And Nana is shoujo. The content is not relevant. Demographic is magazine based.
Try: Magazines and their target audience

I agree. Nana is Mature-Shoujo manga.
I remember that Kaze Hikaru has once been listed as Josei manga but now Shojo. If not it gonna be my first and one of my favourite josei mangas.
Anyway, my first josei is Haa haa. I still love that one until now ^^.

Bara no Tame ni. Still love it, especially since the heroine isn't beautiful in the physical sense, but rather through her actions and words.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.

Diva (ONO Hiromu) . Didn't even realize it was josei. I loved it, even though at the time I didn't really understand it since I was only a little kid.

Baby Pop, It's Not Like That, Darling, and Haa Haa all about the same time, closely followed by Midnight Secretary. I need to search out for some more good ones. It seems like we are all naming the same titles -- maybe we just all started out with the more well-known ones.

Paradise Kiss and Nodame Contabile are both my first ones. I read them at the same time.

I srsly can't remember. I first started reading a couple of shounens. Then I read some shoujos which acctualy diden't have hundreds of chapters of brainless violence.
Finally I stumbled across josei while doing my shoujo thing and it had neither dumb fights nor were extremely girlish with sparkles and flowers in every corner.

River's Edge, for me. I remember that after I finished it I knew something was different, and after a bit of looking around I learned about the difference between shoujo and josei.
