I hate kids ._.

But they don't hate you. They're so innocent and naive--don't you feel urges to protect them? I didn't have much of a childhood, and I'd like to see to it that other kids do get theirs.

Not at all. lol.

They annoy me =.=

I'm getting up at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning (it's Sunday, mind you) only to lend my friend my collection of Bleach anime. It's a good deed, right? (Or maybe no, seeing as she will watch them instead of studying for her exams... but well, not my fault! biggrin)

During my lil sister's friends b-day parties during i believe when they were like 10 or something, a kid drowned...
at first i thought he was playing by himself
you know, like how long you could hold your breath or if you can float or not
but minutes passed by and did not move

i swam to him (he was on the deep end and im sorta an experienced swimmer w/lessons and such) and i lifted hiim up and he was SO purple
i picked him up so that his face was facing behind me and i was like screaming "HELP HELP MOM!!!!" (yes, my mom was there at that time)
at that time this egg like liquid came running out of his mouth and nose...
but i didn't care cuz i thought he was dead... you could only see the white part of his eyes

and then this lady (a cousin of a b-day guest, probably 20 something years old) and everyone came running and my tenth "HELP!!"

she gave his CPR (i believe she was a nurse), not lip to lip
and he gained consciousness...

later when i got back to school i found out that the b-day parents gave that lady a Coach bag.
i didn't get nothing but i didn't really care.
i felt cool cuz i saved someone biggrin haha lol

but it would have been really bad if the kid died (thank god he didn't)
the b-day kids parents would have to take all the responsibility

btw, there was no lifeguards or supervisors attentively looking at the kids the whole time. the parents were chatting amongst themselves and couple feet away from the swimming pool.

so thats my story

I listen to my sister talk about her boy drama and fix soup for my Mom when she's sick and at home by herself. I think the best deed I do, however, is that I try to listen to people. I might not always suceed, but I do try. I think I get that from my Dad - we're both meddlers.

When the good deed is recognised as a good deed and appreciation follows and is recieved, it is no longer a truly good deed. I like doing good things the sneaky way, the victim of the good deed must never know.

Oh... well if that works concerning negative things, I think I might be a failure at both good and bad deeds. I fail most epically at being sneaky.

It doesn't work concerning negative things, sorry. Being sneaky is simple, it's just that it takes time preparing for the sneaky behaviour. But it gets simpler and takes less time the more you practice, think of it as learning how to play tennis. Both of these actions rewards you greatly.

That seems to be a common good deed.

Good deeds - A feel good thread...

Seriously? Good deed make you feel good?
I hate doing good deeds. I always have to be selfless, so why would I feel good doing them?

No.
I do good deeds because they NEED to be done, not so I can feel good.

Good luck with being selfless, it's hard. Very hard. I would reckon you might know how hard in a hundred years. (IMO, no offence meant. The tone just came out that way and I'm too lazy to think of a better way to type it.)

Le Diable et le Bon Dieu, or Lucifer and the devil. A great play by Sartre regarding good and bad deeds. Very recommended for everyone interested in some good vs bad deed philosophing. Actually, very recommened for everyone regardless of reasons for reading it. It's just a really really great play.

Your repeating things I already know.
I do good deeds because they are the hardest to do,
and someone has to take the burden.
