There it is folks. The Bari Bari no Mi. Something we predicted.

Ricky went down kinda easily, I thought he had some bigger role to play. Perhaps later...

Didn't think Blue Gilly was siding with the king at first, but anyways, they all couldn't take his destructive punch in the end. And, as we thought, Bartolomeo blocked that punch with his ability and struck Elizabello right back.

A-Block Winner: Jesus Burgess
B-Block Winner: Bartolomeo

C-Block is coming up, with Luffy, the Chinjao family and the Funk brothers. As well as some unmentionables.

Next is Dessrosa's history. Been waiting for this.

Yes, but what it doesn't explain is how he beat the VA with a fruit ability, since as far as I know haki should be able to go through the barrier, since that should be a weakness haki can exploit, like punches hurting Luffy...

What we have to assume is that Vice-Admiral Maynard was taken by surprise to Bartolomeo's ability. I'm sure he doesn't reveal his ability too often, so when Maynard thought he could easily take down a Rookie with a mere 150mil bounty, Maynard's pursuit (whatever it was) backfired.

It's likely we'll see Maynard again, to have a deeper explanation. I'm sure if he hadn't underestimated Bartolomeo and used some Haki, he could still be standing. But it looks like, depending on how he uses his ability, Bartolomeo is one of those rare paramecia that are able to emulate their ability outside their own bodies, such as Mr. 3. So it's true that Haki could very easily break his Barriers, but unless the Haki user has direct contact with Bartolomeo, it could be equally has hard to beat him.

Again, this is the New World, I'm not going to rule out that Bartolomeo knows some Haki, and if he's able to use his ability in conjecture with his Haki, it could make for a pretty strong defense. But judging from his personality, I doubt it. And once someone breaks his barriers, I bet he'll go down pretty easily.

We'll just have to see.
