Well the world's biggest sporting event is going to start next month on 11th june 2010. SO WHICH TEAM DO YOU THINK WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP?
Personally I usually support Brazil because I just love brazil's mesmerising attacking style of football but now that has all changed thanks to its stupid new coach Dunga who well wants to make Brazil play like Italy which is basically concentrating on defence and then just counter attacking football and so he has packed his team with defensive midfielders and only one creative attacking midfielder Kaka leaving the likes of Ronaldino out and also young talented strikers like Pato instead choosing someone like Julio Baptista who is a substitute for his club. So sadly I doubt Brazil can win and based on recent success and talent Spain seems to be the favourites to win the world cup this time as it has arguably the best midfield players in the world currently and two very talented strikers as well. So for me I am hoping Brazil wins but I seriously doubt they will after Dunga has given up Brazil's flair and unique style and I believe that it will be SPAIN who wins the world cup.

Italy has always been my favourites but since their current form seems to be really bad, I dont think they will win it this time, but I will still continue to support them. I know alot of peole dont like them because they are a defensive side, but I just love them exclusively for that defens and counterattacks. My second favourites is has always been Brazil because of their beautiful style of play but I dont have much faith in the players selected by Dunga. And one team which always does bad in the worldcup but who I love to watch them play is Holland. I cant wait

I think someone's going to surprise us this year. Who will? I don't know, but football has been so unpredictable this season that something odd is going to happen.
I'm just looking forward to watching lots of awesome football, with lots of beer, on a nice big TV screen =D

England:
They'll fail because... well, they're all cocky Brits, basically.
John Terry might enjoy himself if the other players bring along their wives, though.
They say they have Shrek (forgot his real name... Roo-something), but I don't think he'll be fit enough.
Brazil:
They have a good chance because all their key players have had crap seasons in their respective leagues. Remember two WC's ago when Rivaldo was crap at Barcelona and Ronaldo was injured at Inter for most of the season, and then they came to the WC and suddenly turned it on..... might be the same case this year since Kaka has been resting with his knee/groin injury. There's still a high chance that the idiot brat Robinho will fuck everything up for them, though.
Spain:
Probably the favourites, but many of their players have had very demanding seasons. It'll all depend on Iniesta's fitness. If he and Xavi play like they did last year at Barca, then their midfield will be the best there is.
Italy:
Too old, too slow, too boring.... nuff said.
Germany:
Never underestimate zee Germans!!.... Bayern have had a good domestic and European season, but they don't have that many German players, do they? I guess they could always depend on Ballack, but he'll probably miss the final (if they make it that far) through suspension like he always does, so....
France:
Henry needs to find some form fast (maybe use his hands more), or they're fucked.
Argentina:
Inter is basically half of Argentina, and they've had a good season, so I expect them to carry that form into the WC. Also, they have Messi, the greatest player in the world since Zidane. Only problem is Maradona. If he brings his "we'll automatically win cos I'm a god" attitude, they'll probably get knocked out in the first round.
Portugal:
Portugal = Ronaldo = Wanker = FAIL
Netherlands:
They'll show amazing form early on, playing attractive total football and scoring lots of goals, but they'll probably fail at the quarters, like they always do. Going further will depend on Wesley Schneider's form, basically.
Ivory Coast:
They might surprise a few and go further than most people expect. Drogba actually looks like he cares about his home nation, unlike most Africans that have turned rich.
Switzerland:
Neutrality is overrated.
Japan:
They have the expertise and the skills, but they've always lacked that extra bit of passion, I feel. Someone needs to step up and take a talismanic role (Nakamura, maybe?) for them to go further than most expect.
USA:
I actually like how they play, and I hope they do well. They've got the odds stacked against them (they're in a tough group, Donovan is balding, their public is too busy watching crappy handegg and Nascar to care about them).
Mexico:
All depends on how Rafa Marquez motivates them (face it, he's all they have, since the actual manager is useless).
Uruguay:
Uruguay = U.R Gay = Fail.

I agree with your views on the teams especially about England but the chances of Brazi winning is very very lowl. Argentina - They have Maradona as coach, they actually have to listen to stuff he says. Besides, Messi doesn't play nearly as well for the national team as he does for Barce. Lack of motivation and lack of Xavi.

I only watched the last World Cup in 2006.
And Italy won that one. lol So I really have no clue which teams are good or not. In the end, in the finals, I'll just cheer for whoever's losing in the beginning.

With the last Confederations Cup where all the teams where playing bad(EUA actually where better then expected but doesn't mean it was all that), and given that Argentina, France almost couldn't classify for the WC, I think this year is going to be like 1994, where the least worst is going to win. If I had to guess I would say the final is going to be Brazil vs Spain and Spain will win.
