I have seen friends go crazy over it all the day, I personally wouldn't go that far, but then I usually find it after a while. If it's too vague and I can't even put it into words, well, I let it go.

As soon as this happens to me I have to get everyone I'm with involved until we can figure it out. I get over it eventually, but it bugs me for quite awhile.
It is also annoying that as soon as I don't care anymore I remember the work I was looking for.

I try to find it for a couple minutes, but give up if I don't seem to be any closer. It usually justs rolls around in the back of my mind for awhile and then, hours later, it'll come to me. 
I like the self-satisfaction I get from realizing it, but, by then, none of the people I was talking to earlier really care anymore.

I try to remember what I was talking about before.. and then attempt to piece things together. Then if recalling the information doesn't work, I just give up. Because these epiphanies usually come when I'm not thinking too hard about it. Like looking for a lost item. XD
