Why? Why do they have to say they'll break up later. Coulda been fine not knowing that. It's different than some mangas where it's just happily ever after, but that's kinda what I was hoping for this time. I loved it and I'm sad to see it end. I highly doubt there will be a sequel. As much as we hate to admit it, face it: It's over. Kusunoki is great! Gripping right to the end. Too many cliff hangers for bi-monthly scans though, lol. Just kidding. We all appreciate Solaris for their hard work. Keep it up guys!

Quote from Kaioh
I felt the ending was good. It didn't exactly wrap every thing up nicely, it left some questions and a feeling of wanting more, which I felt the author was going for.

Maybe, in the future, we'll see a one-shot detailing the future of Aikawa and Suwa.

I still feel, that even though its short, this is one of the best manga I have read.

I totally agree with this.

I would even take it a step further and say that the ending was exceptional. IMO, nothing was really left unresolved, because all the conflicts laid out by the author were resolved.

An A+ manga in my opinion.

I'm so sad it' finally over. Definitely my favourite manga. I loved the ending (In my mind they never said they'll break up some day).

I agree that the last volume was a little rushed and I didn't mind the ending. All the characters have a rather pragmatic view of young love, no? They are comfortable with the possiblility (and even, to them, likelyhood) that they will eventually break up.

It was okay...

I was kinda expecting a bit more from Aikawa's side, like, with her mom and all. ._.;

This is one of the mangas that you read and feel like a piece of you goes along with it. I thought the ending was respectable, it was very realistic. Bothe sides got to be a little selfish and get what they want; Aikawa got someone to accept her and daisuke got someone to protect because he wanted to. I took the whole part of them accepting the future breakup as a rationalization of them taking what they want now. very realistic and enjoyable. One of the best ive read since ichigo 100%

It was alright.
A little soso for me.
Not one of my favourites but respectable in my book.
The ending had realism, I'm not very satisfied with it but overall; it was acceptable.

nearing the ending it was getting rushed, but I kinda liked the ending, it was fitting for it biggrin I kinda wish there was like a sequel to the series. But either way, it was one of my favorite manga's even though it was short

I didn't like the end... The things they said (won't spoil).
Really... It felt rushed..
Some of the chapters in volume 4 just seemed worse than the others.
Still, the manga feels unfinished. And became less enojable.

The ending was fine.

I didn't like the openness at first but on a reread I began to understand it more.

In my mind I see them living happily ever after =D

<<<doesn't like sad endings.

The mangaka did say that she planned on writing more Bitter Virgin, originally, but due to circumstances she had to cut it short. It is only natural that we feel that something else was needed for a complete ending.

Though, given the circumstances, I feel that the series was wrapped up quite nicely. Of course, we all have our own opinions of what could have been said, or not said.

One of my favorites still, love the character role switch-ups that developed in the last volume.

Sad thing is I started this manga this morning and I finished I enjoyed it, but the Volume 4 came along and decided that I needed to be taught to hate it, the End really sucks, but its a decent round off to the series

I'd have to agree that the final volume really dropped off in quality. Nonetheless, I was pretty satisfied by the ending. I have seen much worse. And as far as the alluding to their future break-up, well, nobody can predict the future. I think it was a way to deal with some unresolved loose ends that could never have been managed without making the manga really feel rushed. It was better than just pretending that those issues didn't exist.
