Hang on a sec Chaoswind... exactly where are you getting your information from because the way you are acting gives me the feeling that you are posting from your laptop in a remote village on a Romanian peninsula trying to track down the last surviving werewolf living with a pack wolves terrorizing the local farmers herds (sorry if thats to extreme).
The point is that you seem to be saying all your information is first or second hand. where do you draw the line of
literature/ adaptations? and where do u start saying yep that book is folklore

Time Line... I am willing to acknowledge anything done prior 1600 (not counting obvious religion based myths, since those are lies)
For example?
Lets be a bit specific
Christianity violated the Mesopotamian Ghoul legends and made them weak to the Cross and anything "holy"... and it doesn't take a genius to know why they did that...
That is why if you ever hear Vampires, Werewolves or any monsters (even demons) (yes they even dared to say that) are not only weak, but can actually be easily killed with "Holy" tools like the cross or holy water, that is most likely a lie.
PS: Were"creatures" are not limited to Europe... actually all the continents but one have similar legends... but you do know that right?

yeah i knew that. Romania just sounds cool
I think its actually a pretty small step to go from being the servants of demons to being the servants of vampires, before you get to angry let me explain:
The word Demon is used as an adjective as often as a noun. EG "a demon of supernatural speed and strength is terrorising the village, drinking the blood of its victims" (no prize for guessing whats being described there). Or even more simply "He is a demon with the sword" just saying a human is really good using a sword.
So after a while of vampires (and probably werewolves as well at that) being refured to as Demons someone was probably flicking through some old legends and read, werewolves were often the servants of demons.
Anyway back on the subject vampires being teh pwnage.
Vampires aint servant to nobody

meh... I can't find the cause of the belief that werewolves where the servants of vampires... I guess I can only blame Vampire fans and authors that wanted the vampires to have a worthy guard for their day time strolls...

i think its a lil wrong to say that werewolves in there human forms are only slightly better than normal humans, cos from all the literature u can see that werewolves in human form are significantly stronger and faster than a normal human and have a decent regeneration ability so it could be seen they are at there peak of human form and when they go werewolf all their abilities explode exponentially to be vastly superior to their human form which in turn is vastly superior to ur normal run of the mill human

I, totally agree with that last sentence.
The main reason why I gave my vote for vampires rather than werewolves was the pride of vamps. All the drawbacks of being a blood-sucker pale in comparison to knowing that you are the
lord of your immortal life .
Well, sire can spoil one's solitary unlife, still it's ways better than a demon on your back or even alfa werewolf, if we a speaking about packs.
If an actual fight were to occur, the outcome would mostly depend on lady luck's wishes, I suppose.

Most vampires are demon minions, or humans that lost their soul to a demon... or cursed beings... so the vampire pride really goes out of the window...
But that also includes werewolves as well
....
I could talk and talk about this, but lets say it like this
There is no bigger pride than knowing you are like a human, but vastly superior

werewolves are better because they are more powerful. I believe everyone thinks that vampires are hot because they look beautiful but thats a lie how can they fix themselves if they cant see themselves? Also people like to think of vampires as romantic but thats complete Bs. Come on would a vampire who has bloodlust really would fall in love with someone that is not of their kind? But if they did they should just have 1 lover as werewolves would also.
