I'm trying to find manga or anime in which both the protag, the antag and as many of the supporting characters for both sides are intelligent and attractive; so they are evenly matched from the beginning. This of course would mean no 'underdog stories'. It would also be nice if the moral compass on the story is blurry (so there are no 'good' or 'evil' sides, just the main vs his nemesis).

I can't really think of an example...sorta like how Ares is now, but maybe if it happened 35 chapters ago.

Pretty art is appreciated though not a requirement, no romance as the main focus.

I'd say X pretty much fits what your asking for exactly, both sides are fairly evenly matched and all the characters are attractive, the art goes from meh to amazing. Unfortunately it was never finished but it looks like parts of it may be wrapped up in TRC.
