Yea only certain hamsters types of same gander can live together. Most will feast on each other.

three dogs (one westie and two cavalier king charles). they're all girls. one of the cavaliers had a litter of about 6 puppies born the day before i got off school for summer break, and i got to look after them all summer. we ended up keeping one of the bitches, making up the three we've got today.

and we've got a whole bunch of fish (huge koi and goldfish and all sorts) and a recent addition, five chickens! one of our dogs basically just runs in circles round their run whenever we let her outside, she can't get over the novelty of having birds in the back garden.

thought i had pictures of the puppies somewhere... hmm. maybe edit later.

The family has 3 cats and 1 guinea pig.

My sister owns one of the cats. She named her Angus, name sake Angus Young from AC/DC, who is around 14. Her nickname is "The Queen". She is the only large pet that we ever bought... that I know of.

Next up is my cat Yoda. He is a larger cat that we obtained from the above mentioned sister's friend that could not take care of him. He was abandoned by his mother before his eyes were even open... but was found quickly enough to survive (the week before a neighbor found a litter so we took them in but they did not survive). He is 10 years and 2-3 months old. His nicknames are "Ratman", "PansyMan", and My sister calls him my "other sister".

Next cat on the list is Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley. She is a cat that had a troubled life before... when we first got her if there was a loud noise or sudden movement she would jump at least a foot and a half into the air. She is between 4 and 5 years old. Her other nick name is "little girl".

Finally is the ginea pig named Oliver, because he has hair All Over him. He is a couple of years old... so he might not last that much longer... and he has a tumor. His nickname is Mr. Squeak.

I'll add some pictures later, don't have the camera available right now.

Nope, don't own any pets at the moment. My parents wouldn't let any of us get anything with fur, so I've only ever had fish and turtles... heh.

......Several dozen generations of barn cats, some of whom were tame and some of whom were totally feral. Four dogs in the past, two at present--Baron's the unpopular family dog (rottweiler mix), while Lark belongs to me yet is the household idol. She's also my main companion, since it's kinda lonely staying with my grandma. She keeps me sane. biggrin Or safely insane, at least. She's an Australian Shepherd--just over a year old. *huggles* And she's beautiful. biggrin

Also generations and generations of goats and sheep. I was always in charge of raising the baby goats, but my little brothers are taking over. *a little sad* And the sheep belong to me. This has been the case for several years now, and I'm still not done gloating.

Nn, and several generations of chicks, which grew up and became someone else's problem, after I got promoted out of the chicken coop and into the barn. On a permanent basis, instead of being in charge of both kids/lambs and chickens.

Oh. And the rabbits. I was breeding rabbits from when I was eight or nine. Eventually they got so inbred they wouldn't reproduce and we just butchered the last of 'em. The moral? Don't leave a ten-year-old in charge of the breeding program. She won't pay enough attention to degrees of interrelation.....Oh, and the neighborhood was infested with escapees, which was kinda interesting. Gave us an excuse to run all over the neighbor's machinery-inhabited yard, trying to catch those blasted rabbits....and we succeeded a lot more often than you'd think. biggrin

Add to that various goldfish, which grew huge in the horse trough once they got too big for the aquarium; wild snakes, which our parents made us release more or less quickly; and various other livestock, which generally went the way of most livestock: the freezer. Yummy.....

Wow. We've had a lot of animals. That's just the general overview, too.

Ah, forgot the four brothers--companion animals, a little tough to deal with at times, but still nice to have around. Although the eldest is at college, and we only see him when we visit our grandma. So lately I've been seeing lots of him and absolutely nothing of the other three.

Never had pets. I'm quite uncomfortable with them too. I'm unfamiliar with dogs or cats, so I don't know how to respond to them. Plus, it's way too troublesome to take care of pets.

If I had to choose though, out of the classic house
pets, then it'd be a cat. biggrin Tsu, you stay away!

Play with the dog, hug it and stuff like that. Attention whores.

Cats you just throw out and they will then
hunt things there and come back if they
feel like it. Doesn't even need you.
