WHAT!? Wait...! I like the Kazuma x Midori couple. x__x So then I should be happy. That's so sad though because Midori and Tsukasa had a deeper relationship, what happened!? D:
That must've been a huge disapointment to Tsukasa x Midori fans.

*goes to download raws*

Yeah, it was the ending I wanted but it's kinda wtf b/c a 85% of the series is dedicated to the other guy.

I didn't like the ending.
It kind of made me mad.
Am I the only one that hasn't taken a liking into Kazuma even though Tsukasa was a bitch? xD

The author built up so many developments and it felt like every transition was a building block toward Tsukasa. And then all of a sudden, you get a Kazuma who didn't nearly have as much screen time as Tsukasa. There is something definately wrong with that picture. Why give hope when there's none? Or at least give some more growing for Kazuma so fans can get more insight.

Totally agree with that. It was the ending I was praying for, but what a lousy way to do it. Now that I've seen all the raws, I'm honestly shocked. A better mangaka wouldn't have had it so heavily stacked in "the other guy's" favor ALL the way through. Even a semi-competent mangaka would've kept it 50-50 between both guys up until the point that "the other guy" announced he was leaving and then given us a number of volumes developing the intended couple's relationship.

Doing it this way shafts all the characters as it makes Midori look flighty, like she doesn't know her own heart and is driven primarily by her hormones, it makes "the other guy" look bad as he got all that screen time but still ended up with nothing (a faceless wife doesn't count for a whole lot), and it hurts the intended guy as he never got the spotlight or the development he needed.

Well whatever. It was a brain-numbingly stupid manga all the way through, so I shouldn't be surprised that the ending was simply more of the same.

i just read the last raw chapter well like not read since i don't understand japanese at all but i KNOW like 100% know that im am so very IRRITATED RIGHT NOW DX>:-(
gosh does this mangaka have some kind of grugde against Tsukasa or something wouldn't they usually go with who the fans favor
or is kazuma more popular...NEVER RIGHT?
GOSH I AM SO MAD AT THE MANGAKA HOW COULD SHE DO THIS TO THE TSUKASA FANS
something happened to her when she was writing the end
she wasn't thinking.....
why the hell tsukasa even 'begin' the story if she wasn't going to end it with him cause obviously more people will favor who appears first...like me
ITS MESSED UP MESSED UP I TELL YOU
im officially like f*ing pissed and i will NEVER EVER accept this
even finding out that nana broke up with shoji didn't upset me this much
yups some may think im overreacting i do think so too but you know thats life when endings don't end the way you want to...at least for me
ugh something happy please

but wow after ranting
im somewhat moved on
goodbye forever uwasa no midori kun

I was a great fan of Midori and Tsukasa but between them there was something wrong. Tsukasa was COMPLETELY in love with her, but Midori had an unstable feeling for him. She's in love with the kid tsukasa-kun, not with the actual tsukasa unfortunately. And Tsukasa himself tells midori to broke up because he realised that she didn't really love him and that the one right for her was kazuma, who was just like midori while playing soccer. Tsukasa says that now that he resolved his past trauma thanks to midori now he WANTS TO START WALKING THROUGHT HIS LIFE ON HIS OWN LEGS and one day, when he'll be ready he'll come back to midori's island to greet her. And so it was.

Practically, Midori saved tsukasa from his trauma but Tsukasa wanted her not to sacrifice her real feeling just for a pity matter. So he asked her to think carefully of who is the person she thruly loves and Midori at that point, understaing her help was no more needed since Tsukasa could from there on live on his own with his own strength without ricking to break up, she could clear up her mind and realise her own real feelings.

This IS how ikeyamada gou presented us the ending and that is why I personally liked it, though I was a tsukasa + midori fan. It's not a 'messy sudden unexplainable ending' but an ending full of real feelings and adult understanding.

Oh my God I can't believe the ending will be actually like that. I've just finished reading chapter 18 on Onemanga and bumped into here coz I'm curious about the guy Midori would choose in the end. And I AM ABSOLUTELY AGAINST IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Midori-Tsukasa shipper I always think she loves Tsukasa truly and deeply. The same feeling from Tsukasa. It's so unfair when you think about how long he has to suffer all by himself, he has been longing for her, looking at her from her back, whispering her name in his dream. God I don't think I can hold back my tears.

No one really wants to grow up becoming a bastard or hurting the girl he was so much in love with. It's just the situation that made him end up having no other choice. He has to bear with many conflicts and pains, yet in the end he STILL CANNOT HAVE THE GIRL HE LOVES. When I read the ending spoiler, sorry you guys, I thought, "What the **** is going on? That's so unfair, totally unfair!!!! I WILL NEVER ACCEPT IT!"

Really, that ending shatters my heart. Whenever I think of Tsukasa bearing the pain somewhere all alone, and Kazuma smiling happily next to Midori, I want to cry.

The same came to me when I read Moe Kare. I was for the good guy. Actually everytime I always support the FIRST guy the female character falls in love with. And everytime, it ends up going to the other guy. I'm so doomed.

I don't know if the mangaka wanted to have a shocking ending or not. But in my opinion, shocking and surprising endings are not always as good as some might think they are. If I were the mangaka, I would definitely go for Midori-Tsukasa together. Why? Because it simply is the right thing.

I don't think I'll continue to read the English trans. I'm extremely irritated. I GIVE UP!

I had a strong feeling that that is what really went on, and I'm somewhat satified w/ that; but it's still not really all that convincing since 1] Midori does exactly what Brid says and simply follows her hormones instead of seriously taking time to consider her real feelings until like the last 2 chaps (and this is only after Tsukasa tells her to) and 2] It was stacked in Tsukasa'a favor way too much.

I had to give up while reading this manga. Especially after reading about the ending. It just goes wholly against my affection for one character .... And it ALWAYS happens. Without fail. If you fit the stereotype, you're doomed from the start.

Haaah ... So disappointing.

Wow what a craptacular manga. -_-;

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I loved Arata in Moe Kare because he had something that Tsukasa just DOESN'T have. He had the balls to fight for what he wanted. Or maybe Takara was too pathetic a choice. -_- Kazuma is WAY better anyways. Screw you Tsukasa, you suck. Kazuma's much better off with her~ And I LOVE bad-boy series so it's sort of surprising I'm not rooting for Tsukasa.

Same thing happened in Moe Kare. She got kissed by a guy and in the end ends up with the guy she first met. Well, at least we know how to guess for Ikeyadama Go's next series.

im totally on ur side KAZUMAXMIDORI FOREVER

yeah Midori choose
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Kazuma at the end, after Tsukasa finding out that the one she really loved was not him so he broke up with her. Later Kazuma suffers a big accident and Midori realizes she loves him the most and that she wants to be with him. The manga final pages shows years later, Kazuma´s and Midori´s daughter playing with Tsukasa´s son and kinda repeating the childhood time of Tsukasa/ Midori
.

I liked the end^.^
