looking for manga suggestions

It can be any kind, but please not a lot of gore and not a lot of sex. A little language and things of a mature nature is fine, as long as it doesn't get very graphic. I am looking for something interesting, like your absolute favorite manga, something that held your attention all the way through. Most of all, I'd like it to be complete so that I can finish reading it and not have to wait for each new release. If it is not complete, I'm not looking to start it.
I read all genres, again, nothing graphic, but I always like some humor if possible, since I find the humor really grabs my attention a lot of the time. You can check my lists if you want before you recommend a manga, but it's not necessary. And it must be complete. Thanks in advance. ^_^

Honey & Clover - Simply the standard by which all mature romance/slice of life/coming of age stories should be judged. And by mature I mean emotionally not sexually. I'd recommend the anime over the manga though as the music and voice acting are both fantastic. Also while not the focus is features some great humor.
Basically the collective works of ADACHI Mitsuru, my favorites of his in order:
Cross Game
Katsu!
Rough
H2
Q & A (I haven't read his classic series Touch for whatever reason but it's also supposed to be very good)
If you're not familiar with Adachi he has a pretty standard formula (and all his art is exactly the same). Basically his stories follow high school athletes, with a whole lot of "does he/she like me or not, when will they confess etc" with a tragedy thrown in for good measure at some point during the story. While this seems rather generic Adachi is the master of the style, his pacing and atmospheres are fantastic and he's able to integrate the sports aspect perfectly without the stories becoming true sports mangas. Some great comedy at points too.
My Girl (SAHARA Mizu) - This is a great emotional seinen manga about a 23 year old man who discovers that his girlfriend from high school has not only passed away but has left him with their 5 year old daughter that he didn't know existed. One of the few mangas that has ever made me tear up, it is beautifully done.
Holyland - Going into a completely different direction is Holyland which is an martial arts/gang/psychological manga about a kid who feels lost and finds his own world fighting on the streets. Way exceeded my expectations, normally I don't like manga like this but when I was reading it all of a sudden it would be 2am and I would have to get up in 4 hours. If you're looking for an addicting series this could be it.
Kare Kano - While a lot of Kare Kano can seem like stereotypical shojo fare these days it was Kare Kano that really defined the genre. For the most part it does everything well and while I think it gets bogged down in the side characters at some points it's still a series every manga fan should have in their complete list.
Usagi Drop - Similar setting to My Girl, upon the death of his grandfather a 30 year old man is shocked to learn that his grandfather has a 5 year old daughter! He begins taking care of his...aunt? Cute, refreshing and enjoyable is a great read... for the first 4 volumes. Following that there is a time jump with a very controversial ending. While I didn't hate the ending as much as some others did I simply didn't care for the story line after the time jump very much, it wasn't horrible it just wasn't very good IMO. I suggest either reading the first 4 volumes or watching the anime which ends at the end of the 4th volume.
That should keep you busy for now, if you feel like reading some ongoing manga check out my public lists or just ask for recommendations.

Third My Girl, this is such a heart-warming series.
Also throw in some which have nice feeling when reading them (at least for me):
Sakamichi no Apollon
Otona no Mondai >> it has shounen-ai tag, but I think it's not really apparent
Ritou no Umi
Miman Renai
Baka to Gogh
Great humor:
Gokusen
Nodame Cantabile
Angel Densetsu >> please don't get discouraged by the art, it has amazing story and characters.

Thank you guys for all the suggestions. It sounds like I need to read My Girl, which I will. 😀 some suggestions I have already read... but had forgotten to put on my complete list, so I was able to update my lists a bit with those. I've put most of all your suggestions on my wish list and hope to read them soon. Thank you. 🙂

Wishlist = Manga you want to read eventually. It doesn't typically function as a "I wish this was scanlated," but rather as a reminder to the owner of the list to read the manga. On your wishlist page mangaupdates has a note right after the little exclamation sign 🙂
As for my absolute favorite manga that I would recommend to anyone it's Touch. Normally I would never even bring it up since it's 29 volumes long, about sports, and to top it of it was written in 1981, but it's my favorite manga, so. It's got an unconventional sense of humor, no poop jokes, mind you, but it's kind of offbeat and light and not particularly laugh out loud. It is family friendly, but its themes are tragedy and human relationships so appreciating it does require a bit of maturity. Not saying that it's boring, because it features the tensest baseball games... Anyway it's basically perfect I wish more people would read it.
Edit: Oops, didn't read all of the posts.

Touch made me leak the most tears, I believe. I agree with everything you said about ADACHI Mitsuru, except for the favorite-child-to-black-sheep order, but honestly that's really the controversy among ADACHI Mitsuru's fans. It's kind of the same with Ghibli films.
“You know what makes humans different from other animals? We’re the only species on earth that observes shark week. Sharks don’t even observe shark week. But we do. For the same reason, I can pick up this pencil, tell you it’s name is Steve and snap it in half and part of you dies, just a little bit on the inside. Because people can connect with anything. We can sympathize with a pencil. We can forgive a shark. People can find the good in just about anything but themselves. You are all better than you think you are.”
