Is it really as bad as they make it out to be?

I don't know how you could possibly talk bad about it, its a masterpiece, disturbing as it is.
There is A LOT OF GORE and descriptions of violence, not to mention some cannibalism. It's very good albeit very disturbing, I suggest it to anyone who isn't squeamish and is a fan of dark stories.

Pretty much.

I agree. My opinion might be a little biased, as I am Nitro's fan, but Saya no Uta has a really nice and memorable story. I'm just a little bit pissed off by how JAST market it as "written by the creator of Madoka Magica" when Saya already created long before Madoka.

I guess I can understand that anger, but it lets face it, Madoka is more recognizable than Saya so they're using that to help further Saya's fame.
On a side note, I like Madoka more. Saya is just a little to messed up for me.
