Final Fantasy XIII-Versus

Is supposedly supposed to be like kingdom hearts, sine the developers of kingdom hearts is going to make it.

Final Fantasy XIII

Is supposed suppose to be like FF X-2...

Not story wise, game play wise. You know, you have timed moves, not turn based.

you said that developers of kindom hearts are going to make ff13.
the developer of kindom hearts and the ff series is both square enix. but disney had a part in the making of KH, i think that is why KH was so bad because of the disney chars but overall it is good.

disney will not have a part in the ff series to the extent of what i know.

The development team that did kingdom hearts (headed by Nomura) are working on Versus. Hope that clears up any confusion.

@Emperorpogi- the battle system of FF X-2 was just a sped up verson of the ATB(active time battle) system that started several games before (can't remember if it was V or VI that it appeared in).

Yeah thanks for clearing that up, I meant the development team. Also I had no idea what the type of battle system it was called.

I just know

Turn base games, and real time rpgs...

My favorite FF is X then VIII, VII, IX and X-2. I haven't finished XII yet as I don't have a memory adaptor to transfer my saves to the ps3 (should be getting 1 soon). I found XII too easy especially with the option of having the strongest weapon so early in the game.

I just hope that Square doesn't mess up FFXIII and should hopefully make it a bit more challenging. I would love FFVII and VIII to be done for the PS3 and considering they will have Blu-Ray at their disposal, im sure it would be awesome. Imagine playing Advent Children.

Im thinking of getting FFIII for the DS (anyone knows if it's any good) or might just wait for NG: Sigma or The Darkness for the PS3 since it hasn't been played for quite some time.

Eh... getting that spear early in the game in FFXII is kinda cheating. If you just run through it straight through and not getting sidetracked by optional quests and stuff, it's actually quite hard.

It's not hard at all if you have your gambits set straight and you leveled correctly. I really disliked the battle system but it does do a few things correctly. The elimination of random battles is the obvious one, and the bigger, stronger enemies are the other. I loved fighting boss-like characters with insane amounts of life.

I for one hated the fact that the bosses had an insane amount of health, especially when getting to the boss wouldn't be that big of deal, only to find out that the guy wouldn't be going down as easy as he should seeing as he is not even at the halfway point of the game.

if you don't try it, then you'll never know. i never know games like ff exist(i ignored it) but once i tried ff 4 coz got nothing to do, i'm addicted to ff. at first i hate battle system of ff xii but once i get the hang of it, i like it.

it would be great if they make the remake of older ff on ps3. i really like ff7 and 8. mostly ff8 coz ff 8 got story like school where they teach how to be an elite mercs. who wouldn't love that?

i didn't see yet the trailers for ff xiii. i fear if i don't like the trailer it might ruined the whole gaming experience for the game.

i would even sell my bike for ps3 just for ff xiii.in my country it cost around 2,500 and my bike worth of 6,000. so there's no much difference between bike and ps3. lol laugh

i've played ff4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12.
but m,y fav is only 7,8,10.
blitzball from X rules. i'm the champ for 4 time consecutive playing(ya know, when you finish the game you start over) it never bored.

Why did you get rid of your PS2?! O_O It's still a good system and there's still good games! Especially since Persona 3 just came out!! Persona 3=Japan's best RPG of the year last year. Besides, the PS3 is broken in so many ways...lol. Oh yeah, it's such a powerful processor...but it can't download more than one thing at once?! Riiiiight.

FF3 is the exact same thing as its original as far as plot goes (meaning there is no plot. You're just running around), they just gave the characters personalities. And "playing" an Advent Children game would be another horrible waste of Squenix's time spent trying to milk a horrible cash cow. WTF Cloud's so emo he cries cause no one calls his cell phone but when they do call he doesn't pick up?!

I'm surprised to see how many of you haven't played FFXI...then you'd appreciate the true of beauty of FFXII. eyes

There is no bad FF game imho from the main series. No average either. The best ones is (again IMO) 4 + 6-9 + 12. I've played every piece, and perhaps a ff expert lol. The main problem after the 4th is mainly that they are too easy, I've actually made a "hardcore" versoin of FF7. Download Here!!

it's for the PC version. There is a readme on how to install!! biggrin

can't wait for XIII btw.

I bought my PS3 as soon as I heard bout 'em.. when the PS3 console came out.. there weren't that many games out that were worth my time.. so I decided to wait.. but then, I heard bout the Final Fantasy games coming out, I decided, I'd go ahead and get it, even though it'd be awhile til their release dates.

That's a great decision.. The main reason that I'll buy the console is FFXIII.. smile

I can't wait for XIII. The day it comes out I'm getting the PS3 and FFXIII. Plus I have all FFs for the playstation console, except for tactics, which I hope to get soon.

Mmm... FFXII looks so nice... but it will probably be a while before I get a PS3 =(
Tactics is fun and I think the plot is one of the better ones. The game play is soo different.

Mmm... I remember the first FF... I find it the hardest one so far, despite the simple game mechanics =/
