Possibly the closest to the list I had in my head. I'm glad you mentioned Shuuichi(I felt like I was the only person in the world that actually read Zero), but just keep reading he gets better. Actually I hate his sister more with her weird incestuous behavior.

I would like to add the guy and the girl from Itazura na Kiss. B/c he is the most arrogant douche bag in the world and she's a dumb groupie. It's worse than Shinjo Mayu's characters even though I actually like her works.

In Red River I hated the queen's helper more than the queen herself.

1. Haruna Sakura from Naruto, because before the time-skip, she's an annoying, useless sidekick. And after the time-skip, when the mangaka decided she needed a reason for living and gave her Hercules strength, she still manages to be the lamest character in the entire franchise. And that's saying something.

And from here on, there's no particular order.

2. Uchiha Sasuke from Naruto, just for being such a poster-boy emo. If you're that depressed, just shoot up or something.
3. Honniden Matahachi from Vagabond. Stop raping women and getting drunk, and actually DO something, damn it!
4. Everyone from any manga Arina Tanemura has written.
5. Yoshida Chizuru's breasts from HEN, because they are so large that they make their own character. I swear, they have a life of their own.
6. Just about every uke ever, just because they are so freaking whiny.
7. Actually, just about every shoujo heroine ever, because they're also whiny, and with the IQ of George Bush. "What? You like me? I would've never guessed!"
8. Every character in Bleach who has F-sized boobs. They're parasites that suck the personality away from the characters. It's like Kubo Tite thought, "Hm. Well, I can't think of a good personality for this character, so I'll just keep them one-dimensional. Oh, and I'll give them huge breasts to distract the readers from noticing that I didn't bother fully developing their personality.


Hm. Since #s 4, 6, 7, and 8 encompass multiple characters, I think that's about it for my hate. Then again, it does cover the vast majority of manga characters. ^^;;;

FINALLY someone hates Reira too! I usually love all Ai Yazawa's characters, but Reira is really just a hindrance to an otherwise great story. I mean, she freaking macks on EVERY guy in the manga. It's OBNOXIOUS. I would totally kill her. SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY.

Also-
-Every Yuu Watase character, which basically means her one archetype; dullard girls that everyone falls in love with anyway, and their perfect, albeit effeminate male counterparts.
-Misa, Death Note
-Kagome, Inuyasha
-Kaoru, Rurouni Kenshin

I guess I actually don't dislike that many characters...I guess I tend to stop reading if the characters don't appeal to me...

I don't have many characters I would like to see dead, not 10 anyway

1) Naruto- 'lame, lame, omg what a lame jerk" is what I think when ever I see him (although I've dropped both anime and manga).

2) The shoujo girl that always thinks that the guy doesn't like her and she must do something about it, or just weep..
(like most of Kayono's heroines)

3) I think I would like to see most of Inuyasha characters dead, except of Sesshumaru and Rin.

4 The stupid Nana(hachi) from "Nana".. although I've kind of dropped it also~

I guess I just don't read manga with characters I hate so much...

In regards to Suzaku... It's because he single-handedly is responsible for stopping the rebellion that -would have- succeeded and accomplished the goal that supposedly Suzaku wants accomplished... Am I wrong? And basically from what we've seen of the Brittania Empire, there's no way in hell Suzaku's plan will ever work. He just wants to be on the winning team, and is coming up with excuses for it. (Remember he killed his own father for peace? At least Lelouche protects his friends/sister/subordinates (or at least tries.) And personally i'm a big fan of Lelouche. I mean seriously, Lelouche is like... The George Washington of Area 11. the United States was prejudiced against and used by Great Britain. They tried peaceful measures and those failed. No country/people have the right to persecute any other people/control them who are just minding their own business. And that is precisely the Britannian Empire's goal. So why should the Japanese be forced to be passive and live with the prejudice for hundreds to thousands of years (in which more uprisings will occur to eventually lead Japan to being of 'equal' status... at least if we look from a historical perspective, all movements for rights and freedoms require at least some violence or force.)

Mmmm and I agree with you on Nina. When I saw her appear briefly in the newest episode I almost cried. I kept asking myself, "Why can't she just DIE?!"

I totally agree with you that he takes an incorrect approach at solving the problem, but it isn't totally filled with contradictions. His immediate goal as a kid was to end a war and stop the killing, rather than even thinking about the notion of freedom. Afterwards, he works to give the Japanese people freedom still, and it's really not like he's killing civilians, just terrorists and soldiers. It isn't about being on the winning team, he genuinely wants to help people, he just lacks the intellect and foresight to accomplish it, and thusly goes about it in a more roundabout way that he believes will overall result in less loss of life. He's more or less a good person, just a bit dense. It's not as though he's someone I'd want to hang out with, but I think he's a well thought through and genuine character, rather than someone like Shirley that's just stuck in there for fanservice. And obviously, I'm a big fan of Lelouch as well. (see avatar).

I should also add that Near (Death Note) is at number 6 on my list, I forgot him earlier.

Yeah, I don't get the Suzaku hate either. I knew he was hated before I started with Code Geass, and right now I'm at episode 22, and he isn't bad, at all. He just acts human, he isn't a hypocrite. "His way" (the way without violence) could have actually worked.


Nina on the other hand though,... *readies axe*. At the moment, she's the No. 1 character I want to strangle with my bare hands. -_-

I bet her sole role in the show was just being a typical smart kid, and giving that 'pep-talk'.
