What I want is someone like alucard in hellsing.. to be more accurate hellsing unlimited as I've yet to read the manga but w/e. Anyway I want a protag that is insanely powerful and absolutely ruthless, but is softer towards certain people(police girl). aiki would also qualify, as the protag treats his haremites better than reg people.... not quite good.... but better than normal. Anyway something along those lines

I second Samurai Deeper Kyo it fits every criteria, even your bonus ones
hmmm perhabs Black Lagoon, well no supernatural, and depends on how you define "soft", but revi definately is ruthless, only superficial romance at best

Unfortunately already up to date with samurai deeper kyo, rly need to make a list... but I don't wanna ;-;. Anyway ty for the extra recs, ive seen black lagoon mentioned in the past but nvr got around to reading it, so I guess ill finally take a look at it.

To the prev 3. nvr read or heard of shut hell ty, ill try it tomorrow. As for majin tantei I'm only halfway through but it really seems like it fits well, and wolfguy I'm up to current and is perfect.... sooooooo f'ed up but perfect for the category x.x. anyway ty to all 3 for taking the time to rec.

Haha. While reading through the replies, it occured to me that Superior fits your criteria rather well. It's defintely quite shoujo-y at parts, but she is very ruthless toward everyone but a select few. It has romance in it and fantasy(more fantasy than supernatural feel, but close).
It might be completely the wrong sort of thing, but it's a contrast to those mangas that are already posted. good luck finding something to read!

The Breaker
although supposedly, i think, not the protagonist but the story does pretty much revolve around him (name forgotten)
but definitely strong ruthless and soft to certain characters
with a bit of romance and tonnes of blood
(although i am only recommending breaker and not the sequel cause i have yet to finish it ^^)

perhabs Nurarihyon no Mago? He should fit the criteria, at least in his yokai form, don't mind his human one^^
