The important thing is the journey, not the ending.
No, the ending is important. A good story (manga, book, movie, whatever) is composed of Introduction, development and conclusion.
If you have a "journey" without an "ending", you have a pointless story, like Inuyasha and Pokemon, where the story is unlinked to any conclusion. A good storyline is one slowly going towards a conclusion.

The fights in Naruto are so..."Meh"
It's always the same. Jumping around, dodging blows...until someone does a big move...then the other guy pulls a bigger move and wins. Predictable.
Not quite, Naruto manga is too impredictable, some times in a bad way. Who expeceted Killer Bee to live this long? Who expected the end of Pain batlle? Who expected to see Zabusa cry? Who predicted the real reason behind the uchiha slaughter?
I am sure you can say: "I did" or "X did", but 90% of fans are usually surprised, some times in a bad way.

What you get in One Piece is a constant string "David and Goliath" battles.
Now OP is predictable, some times in a good way. Luffy always takes down the strongest pirate crew enemy, Zoro the second, Sanji the third and so on. They always save whoever they are trying to save.
In OP things usually end up as planned, some times something strange happens, but the end result is always what the crew hoped for. Nothing Luffy does seem to have any negative effect on the world they live. Everything is happy.
Actually OP and Naruto are completely different shows that shouldnt be compared:
- if you like drama and darker storyline, you will like Naruto more.
- if you like silly comedy and a light happy storyline, you will like OP more.
In the end is all a matter of taste, nothing more.

this is what one piece is doing
I have been able to predict the out come of ALL of the out comes in (SASUKE) with 100% accuracy since Sasuke Vs Deidara (idk why my first statements are being put into your post)

The first chapter i saw Sasuke losing to Killer Bee i had a feeling he was gonna be staying around when it was over.
Naruto beating the pains, Naruto Lecturing Negato Konoha being revived? I knew Knew Naruto was gonna win as soon as the The last pains clocked got damaged. Nagato or Negato being lectured to death was pretty unpredictable but that wasn't a fight. Do you really think Kishimoto would kill off like 60% of konoha?
Zabusa Crying wasn't a fight either.

Black Beard Taking out Ace For position in the Shichibukai just to break into impel down to get a new crew mate

Gold/ Gol.D Roger Being Aces Father
though this isn't a fight
It took Luffy 2 to beat Lucchi
Luffy punched a Tenryubito and got his His crew to get separated. this was indeed one of the most happy moments in one piece. Don't forget his fight with Ussop and Having to burn and sink the marry go.

Theres drama in one piece and even some dark elements but you just happend to miss it. throughout the 500+chapters or you just read a few chapters and watched some episodes and came up with this. one piece can be happy and silly for the most part but its not that way 100% of the time
