Mmm, I'm pretty sure there was a thread like this for movies.

Well, not to be stingy or anything, but American films are foreign for me. ;p
But regardless, I watch what you'd call foreign movies quite often.
There are many interesting ones and I honestly don't see a reason why anybody wouldn't, or wouldn't want to watch foreign films. What, just because they don't speak in English? =/
Maybe it's because I come from a none-English speaking background.
It's all the same to me in terms of foreign-tity (if that's even a word lol)...

Shame there's only one channel that's dedicated to none-English films~

As for music... Some French, lots of Japanese.
I also listen to Russian music, but I don't consider it foreign.

Quote from MasamiAkane
It angers me to no end when people bitch about a movie being foreign. Heaven forbid they have to exercise their brain by reading subtitles. roll

Here we have subtitles running 24/7 for practically everything. XD
Except the Russian stuff.

I'm honestly trying to get music from every language on my Ipod and I've got the major ones.
And foreign films are AWESOME. Swedish movies are pretty darn awesome.

I love foreign films cause they are so new. I always feel like I'm learning something.

Unfortunately a lot of people are too lazy to read subtitles which is why the market is so small despite there being some AMAZING stuff out there. And then when its translated its like polishing a rock until it turns dull again.

Example:
Boten Anna by Basshunter (About a bot on an irc channel)
Now Your Gone by Basshunter (About love) LAME

Yep I watch them all the time, I have recently been watching a lot of Spanish horror movies(Not in Spanish, the language, but from Spain). I mostly watch Japanese Horror movies or European Comedies.

I listen to all sorts of music but I don't remeber where its all from dead

I watch foreign movies all the time...looking at my DVD collection, it's about 70/30 in favor of foreign films. On the other hand, I don't really like much music that wasn't recorded in the English speaking world....I don't know what it is, but in my opinion, outside of instrumental music (orchestra, jazz etc), the rest of the world just can't make quality music..but, damn, those Cubans can play some jazz.

But, the newest band I listen to is probably Tool or Rage Against the Machine....yes, it's been a while. I hate this new music, no matter who makes it.

Aside from anime, some Asian films and quite a few French ones.

I'll listen to music in any language.from any culture if I like the sound of it.

I watch an occasional movie but don't really listen to any music. I mean, I listen to music for the lyrics most of the time, and if I can't understand them, what's the point?

As for movies...I really don't know why I don't watch more foregin films...but I don't. Probably two main reasons:
1. I usually watch sci-fi or action flicks and haven't every really found anything good outside english for either of those...not that I'm looking all that hard...
2. There really isn't a very large market for it so it can be kind of hard unless you're looking for it. I remember renting Pan's Labrynth and the guy at Blockbuster made sure my mom and I knew it was in English. "We've been getting complaints because people haven't realized it's in Spanish."

Never. or very unlikely the movie has to be brilliant for me to go to the trouble of subtitles. I'm just lazy and am not into the whole drama stuff so i rarely watch foreign subtitled movie. and most great foreign movies tend to be dubbed anyways so i don't see the point. as for foreign i don't know cause i have never purposely gone out of my way to listen to foreign music.

"In my dream, the world had suffered a terrible disaster. A black haze shut out the sun, and the darkness was alive with the moans and screams of wounded people. Suddenly, a small light glowed. A candle flickered into life, symbol of hope for millions. A single tiny candle, shining in the ugly dark. I laughed and blew it out."
