I think it is a little unappreciative if you think they're out to get popular or something. Popularity means nothing compared to the time they willingly spend on this. What I appreciate most about MC is their mantra to support Scum when their releases come out. There's always a battle over speedscans vs. qualityscans. My take is pretty clear-- some people want to know the story asap, so they'll read whatever comes first. This doesn't mean they won't check out the quality group's release. If it weren't for speedscans, many of the said "rush readers" would just check out the raws anyways. This isn't really competition in my book. I, personally, will rarely read speedscans since presentation is really important to me. I have a really low tolerance for magazine raws and quick translating jobs, and I'd prefer not to spoil myself by reading raws either. But then again other people think differently, and that's just the nature of the niches ^^

Well... we at Sleeping Forest are trying to increase our quality slowly. We're trying to combine both speed and quality, while speed is still the most important aspect, yet we don't want crap quality.

Currently, we're hovering over MQ/Almost HQ releases.
