How could anyone even possibly think that the ecchi RUINS the story? It's pretty far from forced as I see it, it's an integral part of the manga. HotD plot is largely character based so far, and these characters are in some pretty bad situations which brings forth their more base instincts. One of the central themes of the manga is that in times of crisis it's natural for humans to revert to their most primal desires. I mean come on, even without the ecchi this would be an especially violent manga, zombies tend to do that. it's not for kiddies

I'm pretty sure almost every zombie movie I've watched had romance or some sexy scene. So I think it fits.

Tiamat speaks the truth. Though there are pointless times when it was displayed, it just adds to the chaos. (plus it makes you realise that there can even be heaven in hell smile) Plus with all his experience in his older works, the artist is just used to it (i knew i recognized...heard of his previous works) jokes bigrazz

But i mean with or without the ecchi this manga would still be pretty good.

I would not have made it through the 6 currently scanlated volumes without the ecchi factor. The story is OK, but nothing special. The artwork on the other hand, is top-notch.

I don't mind the ecchiness in it. In fact, it kinda adds some comedy in an otherwise serious storyline, what with the unrealistic proportions and the jiggling and whatnot. laugh

It just feels a little... impractical...
If you die by one bite, why are they not wearing pants?
My first reaction in that situation would be to get some decent protection.
It wouldn't have to take away the sexappeal either, a girl can look good in trousers to...

I do agree with this though.

though if their were no echii they would have probly canceled the series already .-.

The ecchiness hasn't reached overkill strength yet.

Wasn't it ECCHI that got many of us reading manga in the first place? biggrin

At first I also shocked, but it doesn't bother after that...just thought the anime has add some flavor and uniqueness to the zombie story line biggrin Really fun and enjoy to watch...

Definetily ecchi isnt something that should make up an entire series but if there is none at all I will have to say I would never read it to begin with. none

So true. Granted, I started reading Naruto/DBZ, but after I discovered ecchi manga, I've never looked back.
