Hmm... Ginban kaleidoscope is also a good anime, i think it's licensed though XP I mean i bought the anime subbed. So maybe try to search about it since it's a really nice anime. I love the arts and everything, great anime i must say ;)

Well, I've been in anime withdrawal since finishing Fullmetal Alchemist ('cause I can't find anything as good as it was cry ) But I recently started watching Escaflowne (finally, yeah I know), and it's just about as good as it's cracked up to be. I'm also watching the fansubs of Darker Than Black and Kaze no Stigma. Haven't gotten further than the first eps, but I like both pretty well so far! Though Darker Than Black looks like it might be better in the end, imho. Oh, and I'm watching Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon! It's good, but not mind-blowing. I might like it better if I hadn't read the manga first (the manga is always better, and in this case it was mindblowing!).

I also reeeally want to watch Mushishi!..

This is unbelieveable...Hardly anybody's mentioned Code Geass!!! >.<

Code Geass has got to be the best anime to come out of 2006. 'Nuff said.

Anyway, the new animes I'm watching are:

Darker Than Black
Lovely Complex
Romeo x Juliet
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

And of course, Death Note[awesome seiyuu, amazing plot]. All the Code Geass[awesome seiyuu, plot, art; character designs by CLAMP] fans are rotting in their computer chairs [or at least I am, lol] waiting till summer while the last two episodes of the season are being rewritten, and then we have to wait for the second season [hopefully coming out in October or so].

I also started watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya[insane, yet enjoyable] recently, which came out last year. I'm watching a million other animes, but I can't remember them all biggrin

Hahah... it is pretty good...

but... it ended like, about a month before this thread started! hahah... so actually, I just finished it/started it when the last episode came out... haha so I didn't consider it a "new" anime. ^_^

...code geass, that is.

New anime??

ahoaho, from your posts, we may share similar tastes. If I'm right, I think you'll definitely enjoy Kemonozume. It manages to be artistic, dirty yet beautiful, dark yet uplifting without ever taking itself too seriously..... Great soundtrack with lots of lounge, jazz, rock influences and one of the best endings in anime (there haven't been lots of those, really). Try it if you haven't already.

For the Spring 2008 ones.... my fave has to be Kurenai. Pretty good plot, great comedy moments and the voice acting puts every other anime that came before to shame. I'm also lovin the trippy and superbly artistic Kaiba.

Code Geass R2 is pretty fun as well, but I don't think it's the 'greatest ever' like many other people do. Lellouch moves his hands way too much (maybe he's Italian).... Nabari no Ou to satisfy my shounen guilty pleasure.

As for previous seasons, currently finishing up on Dennou Coil and Production I.G's mind-trip, Ghost Hound. Will probably buy the DVD's for these two if they're ever released in my region....coz they're excellent.

Just purchased a limited edition region2 MuShiShi blu-ray box-set coz I think it's the best anime ever and wanna support the creators. Visual storytelling at it's very best, IMHO. (I adore the manga as well). Looking to buy a similar Kemonozume box-set as well.

Was also catching up on the later episodes of Keroro Gunsou until the mothaf**kers at Veoh decided to stop servicing my country.

Cheerz cool

Its complete lack of a plot is actually the point of the show. It's a slice of life comedy, like Azumanga Daioh. Good for some laughs, but not much else (that said, it's still very entertaining).

The ones I'm actually faithfully following right now are:
Kure-nai (I've been consistently impressed with this one every week, completely surprised me)
Code Geass R2 (of course)
Allison and Lilia
Macross Frontier
and XXXHOLiC: Kei.

I'm still watching some of the others, but I'm a bit slower to grab them or even watch them once I have them.

For just random older stuff, I watched Baccano! for the first time a few weeks ago (and the ovas since then) and loved it. It was awesome.

Currently watching Code Geass R2, when I get home I'll start Amatsuki. I'm prolly going to start Junjou Romantica and Sukisyo(sp?) too.
For upcoming animes, 2nd July will be the happiest day for the Slayers fangirl in me, I can't wait for Slayers Revolution XD. And I'll give the Sekirei anime another try.
