Or anyone who gets rock-star style treatment. I don't mind how it's expressed - be it drugs, suicidal tendencies, general mental collapse, general life-collapse, or whatever. I'm looking for the same sort of vibe you get reading real-life stories about the collapse of high-profile people - where they're risen up and adored, and then because or despite this everything falls apart. Think Kurt Cobain, Richey Edwards, Ian Curtis ... and I'm sure a whole heap more who don't come to mind right now (but hint: they all committed suicide).

Low comedy, high drama preferred - tragedy is a plus.

Ian Curtis and the term rock star do not fit together. On a side note Richey Edwards disappeared so you cant say for sure if he killed himself or not.

Helter Skelter is exactly what you're looking for, and more.

Crash sort of fits.

There is something like that in D-Ash but it happens in the world of sports, don't know if it's still fine (I'm saying it since you're not probably gonna get tons of recs anyway so it's probably better having one more even if wrong).
PS: ignore the horrible description and the start of the manga, it changes its "mood" quite fast during the story.
