I'm not sure if this has been talked about before, but is there a way to exclude categories (not genres) when doing advanced search? And if not, would it be possible to include that option? Because sometimes there are somethings that I want to exclude to narrow down searches. And it just seems like a good thing?

Could you give us an example? That might be able to answer the question easier.

For example, I am looking for... Flapjacks but I want to make sure not to include the words sausage, fest, and bad reviews. Sorry, was eating when I thought this example up.

I believe you can exclude a category by entering it in the category box in the advanced search, preceded by a hyphen.

E.g.

-Love triangle/s
-Age gap

I've never tested it extensively myself but it does seem to work.

This works, I tried it right now. I searched without a category and with "-Rich Male Lead", for example, and the manga that had this category just vanished from the list. That is actually quite useful, I never knew about this option and I always thought how useful that would be. Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I too have been looking for this option for a while now.

How about including a short explanation about it in the advanced search? I'm sure we aren't the only ones interested in this feature.
