Stefou i agree with you. i watched the video of the le wheelmotor Beta 2 and it did seem to be sufficient. But how much power does it take to have it at that speed and what is its duration?

In the texte of introduction of the video "le wheel motor" the author wrote that the theoritical power is 750 W.

The Power of the Axi 5320-28 that I used for my first project is about 1300 W and the range is about 45 min with five li-po (i'm not sure of the number of li-po) and for a power between 400 and 900 W (I'm not sure this sentence is correct ^^).

For the Axi 4120-20 I do not have the motor curves so I don't know about the power and consumption.

EDIT:
I forgot to give the size of the motor and one wheel.
The motor diameter: 49,8mm
The motor lenght: 55,5mm

The wheel diameter: 101mm
The wheel lenght: 68 mm

I also forgot to show you that (maybe you already know).

It seems that this one not work with a brushless motor.
I think this motor is as big as the Axi 4120-20 (maybe a litle smaller but a litle longer).
I think they used a reductor (the grey part between the wheel and the motor) so the torque effect is stronger but the max speed decrease.

As you can see I'm not sure about this informations...

okay i'm back for awhile. sorry for the seemingly permanent leave.no, i haven't given up. college was being a b*tch. and been working part time so i can get started on putting the ideas together. btw, i'm flunking this semester.

anywho. i'm not back fully yet. and i'm in a bit of a hurry. but can't resist posting here. i'll be back around dinner my time and get started reading during midnight.

and sorry for the off topicness. and sorry for the absent. though, i'm glad this place is still working even without me. XD

hi im new to this thing but im not nwto wantnd to make air trek's. iv been trying to figure out a way o make them for a longtime so i read through this thread, but not all of it so forgive me if you have come up with the idea already.

i made a small magnetic motor that only needs an electric current and is definatly small enough to fit inside a weel. i have not been able to find a diagram of this on te internet so have makde a crappycopy using paint which i will post soon. the idea is that the more you puus of the faster the motor will turn and the more current put through it thefaster it will move. i doubt there any sped limit to this as it depnds on the prsons movement and the current put through it. thought toput two of these on each foot in all of the weels to give optimum speed. the only way to stop these is to forget the breaks and do a power slidewhich will stop them completly and wont take up any power. and to start te motor again all you have to do is start moving again.

the only problem with this is finding a stong enough power source that can acomidate the weight the the motor willbe pushing.

let me know if anyone has further ideas on this

@sky_king: Most people with any kind of technical know-how will at least use proper grammar when trying to explain their ideas. Every motor has its limit... there is no motor with an unlimited top speed.

It's been about two years, and it doesn't seem like there's been any real progress. I think the best option is to let the maker of 'le wheel motor' finish building the motor, and then work from there.

@jay3205: about the bad grammer that is due to a broken keyboard. and i know every motor has a limit but the motor would alow the user to skate for themself also other than just relying on the motor.

and there is no harm in at least trying to give ideas and i do have technical know-how so please forgive the bad grammer.

Ok listen up.....my last post that ive made ive told everyone my progress now im back with results....ive came up to a speed bumb...heres the situation....the ats are great there fast to fast exactly on the anime it has 8 kilowatts but ive trieed that and it cant even move a normal person 10mph. so i tryied 80 it moves to 110 mph but then the wheels get messed up pretty badly so i need somthing for the wheels the collage am at the professor there said if we successfully make these he know a man who can sell them and market them...the skates alone are 800 dollars to make and anyone who can help me will get on free of charge if we make these also ive found how to make the rumble regallia and the flame and fire...the fang im working on that but the water all the rest i need some idea on how to make them im dead serious guys this is gone far and im not going to stop now btw ive made a website later on for when we make these we will have a real life parts war....the website is www.freewebs.com/partswar imma make the real website later when we get bigger and more popular but for now it stays on that website but i would like to say everyone e mail me with here progress and ideas to help me out my e mail is vampirekiller666333@yahoo.com were so close guys all we need is a little push....well im reserching

^^ I don't believe you for multiple reasons.

1) Most electric cars don't go 110mph.

2) Electric cars run on less than 40,000 watts. You could light over a thousand bright light bulbs. How can your skate use 80,000 watts and only manage 110mph.. not to mention somehow not burning through all the material? Or, is the burning what you refer to as the "flame regalia"?

3) You offer no proof of anything you've said, yet claim to know how to make regalia. Considering we can barely find a way to even fit a normal motor into a skate and not have it be bulky, how do you fit a motor, a turbine, and an air compressor into one?

4) A skate and wheels with material good enough to withstand all the force/heat of the equipment you propose would cost hundreds of dollars by itself. Normal, non-junk skates can easily cost over a hundred dollars. How do you manage this technical magic for only $800? Even in manga Air Gear land, it costs more than that.

5) Your entire post was just one giant long sentence. If you don't know how to write correctly, why should I believe you know how to build what engineers have not been able to build.

I Agree with jay, if you did what you said you did at least show some proof otherwise its useless.

Hmm, maybe my post before was too harsh. But, for me to take any claim seriously, they should at least post up schematics, equations, a picture, or some other proof of their claim. When you make an outrageous claim, you should have a proportional amount of evidence or theory to back it up.

I personally don't believe that a manga-like skate can be made with current technology. Even though the motor can be do-able, as shown by le wheel motor guy, there is no way to fit a suitable battery inside the skate. Then again, I'm not an expert on motors and circuitry. However, if this was possible, why would people sell things like "motosk8" and ishoes when they could sell more by making ATs?

Finally, I still think that most people *really* want cool-looking Air Gear resembling skates... not necessarily motorized ones. If this was not the case, it would be much more reasonable to use 4 small, weaker motors on normal (non-inline) roller skates.

comon you guys if we're really gonna do this, lets stop talking about how things wouldn't work. be optimistic and concentrate. smile

now im thinking if we want a engine that contains constant charge and will not run out of power, we should most likely use the Faraday principle within the wheel

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Faraday

it creates energy by magnets spinning around copper wire. the motion would be made by the wheel, moving itself, which then in the end creates endless energy

To everybody who is working hard trying to come up with how to make air treks, keep it up....it might make you millionaires if you succeed biggrin

To everybody who posts here to complain and announce their disbelief...stop wasting your time reading the thread if you dont believe

I believe this can happen even if its not anytime soon, even if you have to break your brains to come up with the new tech to make it possible(i say you cus i personally dont have the time)

The dream is there, lets start making it happen wooooooooooooo
