I don't even know what that is...and I don't think it counts as a "Frequently" Asked Question

How about:
"What are custom lists? How do I make/use custom lists?"
and
"Are my manga lists public? How do I make my manga lists public in my profile?"

I have a question!

"How do you add recommendations to a series you are reading?"

This isn't a thread where you ask questions about the site, this a thread about what questions to put in the faqs section of the forums.

And to answer your question, you can't...only the admins really know how it works...

Sorry! >.<

But thanks for answering my question

And I think that it could go on the faqs....

I'd like to add a suggestion on what to put in if a series is never completed. As in, say it was canceled for whatever reason, the author/artist passed away, and such like that. Transformer: Galaxy Force as one example for a canceled series.

"Canceled" is fine...
Not really a major issue, so doesn't need to be on the FAQ

What is an "Aizoban"?

Aizouban is a kind of special edition, specifically a collector's edition. Here are all the manga edition names that I have come across:
- bunkoban/bunkobon (文庫版/文庫本; library, pocket, or mass-market paperback edition/volume)
- shinsouban (新装版; refurbished edition)
- shinshoban (新書判; pocket paperback edition)
- tankoubon (単行本; independent volume--as opposed to being serialized in a magazine)
- kanzenban (完全版; complete edition)
- aizouban (愛蔵版; collector's edition)
- wide-ban (ワイド版; large edition)
- genteiban (限定版; limited edition)
- shokai genteiban (初回限定版; first-run limited edition)
- tokubetsu genteiban (特別限定版; special limited edition)
- renkaban (廉価版; popular or bargain-priced edition)
- all-shokuban (オール色版; all-color edition)
- fukkokuban (復刻版; facsimile edition--this is meant to be an exact reprinting of an out-of-print edition)
- kanzen fukkokuban (完全復刻版; complete facsimile edition)
- kaiteiban (改訂版; revised edition)
- goukaban (豪華版; deluxe edition)
- konbini-ban (コンビニ版; convenience store edition--made especially for sale at convenience store; a distinguishing feature is they almost always have a lot of promotional text and a price sticker built into the cover art)
- saishinban (最新版; latest edition)

If this were to be put on the FAQ anywhere, it would be under "I'm new to manga..." in general questions (or you could just tell people to go read the wikipedia article on bunkobon, which has some info about these other editions too bigrazz ).

Anyway, in a thread I came across the other day, someone asked this question (I didn't know the answer, and I think most others probably don't either, so it might as well go in the FAQ, I think):
Q: Is there a way I can hide categories when looking at a manga's info page?
A: Yes. Choose "Edit Profile" on your user CP and select "yes" where it says "Hide Series Categories by default."

Can I suggest adding a "How to start adding your works to the site?"

It was only after two failed tries and almost 4 days (and counting) of my "add series" request in pending mode before I more or less figured out that I was supposed to add a scanlation group, then add a release before I could add a series. Even then, I'm not very sure if I got the process right.

Can someone enlighten me about this?

I'm not a member of the staff but I believe I can answer this for you. My understanding is:

If you're talking about a manga/OEL/webcomic/whatever that you created yourself, the short answer is you can't add it, unless you're a professional artist/writer working with one of the publishing companies/sites in the Publishers section in the sidebar. This site isn't for works by amateurs. If that's what you're trying to add, that's probably why your add series request is still "pending". And it will get rejected eventually.

If you're talking about you scanlating an existing manga/manhwa/manhua etc., and that manga is a professional work but it's not in the database, you should be able to add it as a series without needing to have added a release/scanlation group first. But it won't be accepted unless it is verified as a legitimate series by the staff.

You did not really read the FAQ then.

I read the FAQ, what I was talking about is my english translations of a novel series which have been published by Shueisha. My submission got approved yesterday after I added a release of it, then a series since it's a novel and separate from it's manga counterpart.

From this though, I kind of feel that a guideline is needed for new people to figure out how to add stuff to the site. Either that or it's just me being very bad at figuring stuff out. Thanks for your help though ^^

Series entries for novels are only approved if someone is translating the novel. In your case, your release didn't have the same name as the series entry you submitted, so we never realized that someone was working on that series.

But it has now been approved.
