you own, love and possess to end every single conflict in the world?

lets say by giving up everything down to your identity, every single type of conflict in this world will instantly end, would you?

I didn't add a third option on purpose.

Hmm....well, it depends. Would my name be remembered for sacrificing everything in order to stop all conflict in the world (I'm assuming that I would be dead)? If so, then of course I would. If not, then why doesn't someone else do it instead? Maybe you? Or possibly the next person to post?

Don't mind doing it. If I was sure that doing it would bring peace and safety for the people I care about. I don't have to be remembered I just have to know that the people I care for are doing alright. embarrassed

The world would be boring without any conflict.
So, no.

What's the point in living in the perfect world if you just gave up everything in your life?

No thanks :/

i would because im born to be a hero!!!

but as far as you people sound and seem like ver selfish, uncaring beings... do nt you think that mauybe just maybe the world maybe a bit more happier if maybe you would sacrifice for this one time... i mean... there is a great chance to be reborn again right, and when you do.. its like heaven here on earth... so yeah i will... if it will feed every hungry child, and help every pathetic human being and stop the idiotic wars that always happens... sure why not!!!
biggrin

hell yeah im noble!!!

Screw the world.
No way in hell am I ever going to sacrifice anything of myself to make this place better for the rest of the idiots on this planet.
Now I think it would be a good idea to sacrifice all the racists, homophobes, religious zealouts and political extremists to get rid of all conflict in the world.
Which would work, since those people pretty much are the reason for 90% of all conflict anyway.

No.

Besides, a world without conflict would be boring.

Edit; Lol, Terpsichore, I just noticed I said almost the same exact thing as you... XD It wasn't on purpose, honest! XD

I seem to be getting the impression that if people don't have knives to each others throats then the would would be boring. I say the world is as fun as you make it. biggrin

Thinking about it from a logical perspective, conflict is everywhere and will never completely go away because we are all individuals with our own minds.

How would you stop those who want Marijuana to be legalized from clashing with those who want it to be illegal? How would you stop a husband and wife from clashing in a bad marriage? How would you stop people of differing political opinions from clashing?

The only way to eliminate ALL conflict would be if we were hive-minded - like The Borg. No thanks, I'll pass.

Well, "Conflict" isn't just involving death/bloodshed (Although a world without that would be kinda boring as well, in a way). Imagine never arguing with anyone; never disagreeing about anything. Imagine never being confused, or indecisive, about what you want to do. Imagine always winning at everything, every time. Imagine everyone dying of old age. As I said, boring.

i know what conflict is i am merely emphasizing the fact that the imporession i get is, most people havn't realy thought it through. it's like saying "everything, why should i care what happen to others".

I voted no, but for a completely different reason to everyone else. my view is that goals achieved without comprimising and effort is pointless. i would like to see wars end and people happy but that has to be done by our own hands and not because i gave up everything. people are more inclined to protect something when they've worked for it.t.

It's like saying when a person has seen wars and hatred they can better understand and apreciate peace and kindness. but if all else fails i would probably vote yes to protect those i care for and love.
it seems selfish but then again both answers are pretty selfish when you get down to the fundamental principles they present.
