A while ago I read a shoujo manga about a high school girl whose diary one day is filled with notes from her future self about all the things she wish she had done differently to prevent the death of a new student. For example, the diary says not to invite the boy to hang out with her friends after school on the first day, but the girl disregards it and they all have a wonderful time. Turns out that if the boy had gotten home on time, he could have stopped his mother from committing suicide.
