I thought it would be nice with length filtering. When seraching you could specify how many vol/chaps it should include/exclude.

Any thoughts?

As of now this would be quite difficult. I don't actually keep this information in the database in numerical form... (it's in string form in the status field though, so it may not be all that hard to create from this). I have some other important things on my list though so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to this.

since i wanted to talk about adding new filters, i thought here would be good to post

there are really a lot of ways to filter through manga, and lots of different filters can be implemented, but i guess what gets priority would be those that are most useful/important

just wondering how much filtering you've been planning to administer

also here are some filters i thought might be useful:
filter by group
filter by scanlating status (ie. complete, dropped, on hold.. etc)
filter by type (which i think has been brought up before--like manwha, doujinshi etc)

[edit]oh i forgot.. i'm wondering how others are liking the filters or how useful it is to them ^^; (curious me) [/edit]

[edit] ... i just realized that rather than wanting these to be "filter" functions, i thought it'd be more useful to have it as a "search by" function... though i suppose filter would be useful too... |sorry, i'm slow like this| [edit]

Interesting ideas for filters, but I think I'll have to file this for now. I have some other things to take care of first.

Thanks for the suggestion.

As far as how many people are using the functions.. I have no idea. I get just about no feedback.

well if it helps, personally i just use the highlight feature to highlight gender-oriented genres (i think its pretty useful *shrugs*)

but i don't actually use the filtering option, since i feel its such a waste to filter out some one else's hard work

also for sure the functions aren't idle as the stats (in genres) say that its used by quite a number of people

well, as lilchoconut said, as the stats show, peole are using the filters. (as am i)

The filters only work for the latest releases page, don't they?

One filter i would like to use all the time is to filter out series with no releases

Interesting idea. I'll consider it.
