I did when I was a wee child! In fact, I remember sitting next to the tree while my mom was wrapping presents trying to help her. And one gift she was wrapping said "From: (insert my name) To: Santa Claus." I immediately asked her, "Mom, this is a gift to Santa? But I don't understand." Mom replies, "Yeah, you're going to give Santa Claus a gift." *puzzled look.

Morning of Christmas: I open a present addressed to me from Santa Claus, and it's the EXACT same gift that I gave him. loooooooooool... I was extremely confused but mehhh... I took the gift anyway. Now that I think about it, either I read the tag incorrectly because this was before Kindergarten, and I might've been a stupid kid, or my mom switched out the tag when I was sleeping... either way... yes... I did believe in Santa Claus a long, long time ago.

Yes I did.

I'm glad I did as well. I can imagine how much fun my sisters must have had with me when I was a youngster, reinforcing that it's true! He lives! laugh
I have fun doing it now with my cousins. Just seeing their excited little faces makes me smile. I think it makes christmas that more exciting when you're young. I mean now I just view christmas as spending time with my family and using it as an excuse to eat loads of food instead of the presents. Presents are just a bit on the side for me. But when you're young, it's all about the presents.

Putting out the mince pies, carrots and wine. Just thinking about it just takes me back to my childhood :'D

Never believed in santa. Even when I was young, I found it doubtful that a guy would wear such ridiculous clothes and spend his christmas night going up and down Chimney.

Yeah, when I was in elementary school. Hell, in 2nd grade my school gave letters addressed to us from "Santa" himself. It was stamped, had a return address, and everything. Me and my brother even tried writing back to him to no avail. Then in 8th grade, we were instructed to write letters to the second graders pretending to be Santa (of course by then I knew he wasn't real).

I'm sure there is a sexual pun in there somewhere, but I can't word it right.

As for the poll I used to believe in santa, I think the majority of people did even if they said they didn't. If you're 3 4 or 5 you believe what you are told, your parents are all knowing in your eyes.

Of course when I was a kid, up until I got suspicious of why Santa's writing looked like my mum's.

I have never believed that a happy fat man would bring gifts to every child. That would be very tiresome. Plus there would be at least one house with a chimney that he wouldn't be able to fit through..
I don't think Asians believe in Santa... in my opinion. bigrazz

But...
I think I believed in Rudolph though...

...nah.

My siblings and I have never believed in Santa because I don't recall my parents ever bringing up the topic "Santa Claus." We've seen him in cartoons and movies, but we were always aware that he's not really real.

Never. It's not a case of my not believing, but my parents never promoted a Santa figure in my life - how could I believe in something that I wasn't aware of?

Quite possibly true... I'm an Asian myself.

Well, I'm Buddhist, so I obviously didn't / don't believe in Santa Claus. And I'm pretty sure I'd never have believed in his existence even if I were Christian or Catholic.
I was always a skeptic, even as a small child. I never did trust something just because it was shown on TV or written in story books.

And on the topic of Asians - I'm (obviously) an Asian as well; and the Christian friends I had never even talked about Santa. So, while I can't vouch for the rest of the region, in my country, at least, it isn't a popular belief.

i recall kyon's opening monologue in suzumiya haruhi no yuutsu.......where he said that he lost faith in santa when he saw him getting cozy with his mother biggrin

something similar happened to me when i was 6 .......anyways i am a hindu .......so that belief wasnt that strong anyways.....though i still bake a cake or help make it on christmas...guess some customs are engraved deep into subconscious that u feel uneasy if u dont follow them

but anyway does it really snow in japan during christmasconfusedlotta anime/manga show.....but its difficult to blv it
