I'm looking for a tactics video game (i.e. Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea, etc.) where enemy levels are not dependent on your characters levels (Final Fantasy Tactics has this and it annoys me).
MUST be a non-PC game.
For Playstation, PSP, GBA, DS,Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation Network, or Wii.
Thanks.
P.S. you should be able to gain levels, not a static level

I don't play many of these so...... Anyway
PS1 title - Vanguard Bandits. Rare game. You're better off downloading it online, unless this is available through that sony thing with the ps1 downloads. It's mech based with several endings, etc.
PS2 - Besides disgaea... think the only ones i played was Stella Deus:The Gate of Eternity and Phantom Brave. Never finished either. Not a huge fan of tactical games. Sold Stella Deus back within a week. It wasn't bad now that i look back at it though. May rebuy within the next month or two for collection purposes.
For GBA.. Grab err... Super Robot wars.1/2 Those are fun. Mechs again <_<
Think that covers all the ones I've played.

I found one Wild ARMs XF for PSP, the enemies levels are dependent on area.
so are there more; more PSP , DS, or Playstation would be nice.

Yggdra Union (PSP and GBA) and Valkyria Chronicles (The first is on PS2, the second is on the PSP, the third is still in Japan but is PSP)
They are both solid games.

Devil Survivor, I mostly enjoyed the story, the choices, and ofc the demon crafting .
A great game overall, but the actual battles weren`t anything special for me.
Also if you `re looking for more traditional tactics games, you can try Tactics Ogre(psx), Vandal Hearts(psx), and Bahamut Lagoon(Snes).

My absolute favorite tactical rpg ever is the entire Fire Emblem series except for the one on the DS called Shadow Dragon.
1.There're two for GBA: one just called Fire Emblem then the unrelated sequel Fire Emblem:Sacred Stones.
2.There's the one for the DS which is a remake of a SUPER old version that never came to America. Eventually it was ported but I think that it's lacking in some of the newer aspects of the series. I also don't really like it so much because it gives you too many units of the same type (you get like 10 people on horses before you're done). Gets annoying when everyone's the same unit.
3.The next one is for the Gamecube called Fire Emblemath of Radiance, absolutely amazing. Freaking pwnage.
4.Finally there's Fire Emblem:Radiant Dawn, the only actual one in the series that is a legitimate sequel. If you get this one I also recommend you get the gamecube one since the storylines heavily connect.
My personal favorite out of all of these was the last one called Radiant Dawn due to the fact that you control three separate armies which are on conflicting sides. It's also incredibly long with a LOT of maps. Hope you try some of these. I personally loved every single one of them and played them all several times.

do those listed fit the whole "Random enemies' levels are NOT dependent on your own levels" point
