Try not to care to much about the story. The artist himself admitted that the art and so on is much more important then the actual story.
But the story line is basicly this:

Killy searches through the meastructure looking for somebody who has pure enough genes to be able to acces the net which was created ( as the megastructure ) before the silicates started to run wild ( see noise ). Most of the important charcters are either old protecters installed by the creaters of the net, or bad guys trying to get into the net . I admit myself that i have no idea what is so important about reaching the net, but as i said, it's not about the facts.

I do agree that the art is absolutely amazing. To think an artist would spend to much attention on the back ground. the details are absolutely clear.
Do you know if NSE is cancelled or not?

It kind of give me the creeps if our future turns out like that. Either we get killed by safeguards or we get assimilated by the Borg like creatures. Is it me or does the Silicon base beings look like the Borgs from Star Trek. Also, don't you find many things similar to Gantz?

Nah, don't worry. We won't get assimilated by borg like creatures. First good thing is that the things are way cooler than the borg. ( soory star trek fans ), and second of all, the don't want to really assimilate us, but kill us! biggrin so it isn't that bad.

You know whats funny, i don't see any connection at all to either one of them biggrin

I don't know if NSE has been cancelled, but i think its pretty unlikely. First of all, he is really succesfukk, so i don't think they will make him stop. Second of all, he seems to be doing lots of small stories at the moment, so it wouldn't be surprising if he isn't doing NSE at the moment.

OMG a Blame! discussion. Cool.

I'd really like to see some NSE soon, since the first chapter looks good, but instead of just waiting (which is not fun) I'd recommend reading some Biomega (which is fun), a great substitute for anything Blame!

Not even a substitute, I'd say, but rather just some more Nihei goodness.

As for the story, I think Bully got it just right.
At least I didn't understand more than he did, so here's your ultimate (2-3 sentence) plot coverage.

I would start with blame. Noise takes place before it, but i don't think that is best to read it first. I can't really say why. Sort of like the way i would tell somebody to watch tht old star wars movies first, even though they happen later. I would read nosie sometime while you are in the middle of blame.

None of the sequels ( as far as i got it ) really have a direct connection , exspecially because the aren't finished scnaslated yet.

After you finish blame and noise, check out wolverine snikt.

I can't wait until NSE get to the next chapters.....i still did not understand what happened to Killy in the last chapter of Blame!.

No offense to all other manga fans, but Blame! beats all of them. The art is just wonderful. To think the author would spent so much time on the art. The buildings really do look futuristic. Go Blame! biggrin

You can not imagine why i like BALME!. It's because i saw a similar manga when i was little. It had the same kind of story and the same kind of art....De ja vu

also....some part of me desire a world like Blame....where everyone is crazy....it speaks me heart. Instead of Star War or Star Trek, Blame is out future. Resistance is futile.

It's not Cibo. It's a "material"\NetSphere incarnation of emergency preservation pack (that thing like some capsule which Killy peaked up in previous chapters, it also tried to take control over his body). Killy gave it to the Controller, who renewed information about person written in that pack and placed that person in special area for people without bodies.
