But, I think Shinji is more of a 'closed' person (meaning he doesn't understnad others much), so he needs some one to, as you said, 'heal' and well, out of all the characters, Shinji opens up to Kaworu quite alot, so i think that kind of indicates Shinji's tryin to understand him...
and... i wouldn't say 'psychotic' there... i know he has some issues...but...

i think due to their contrasting personality, they make better match.

conclusion: Shinji X Kaworu is the BEST!

although i kinda think time to time that Kaworu is too good for Shinji biggrin (Kaworu RULES~!!)

Well, I know what you mean. Don't get me wrong people, I know your points. I don't do pairings without analyzing their stats...unless its harem! >biggrin
The question is asking about my favorite, anyways. Personally, I don't like Asuka mainly because of her character. Yes, I know she's had a terrible past but just using that as an excuse for her psycho behavior is just...meh. And, guys who say that she's awesome...really, would you really really want a girl like that? -_- I can understand if you're a masochist, but for me...it's just too much laugh

I would want a girl like her or like Satsuki from Ichigo 100%, it is not a matter of masochism, but I am a quiet so I need someone spontaneous. If Shinji wasn't that hollow-headed he could make things work out between them.

it's ShinjiXMisato for me!They're like the best pairing ever in the series and who cares if she's older?Besides screw Kaji, Asuka likes him so why won't let it that way?and tps2 is right with the movie comment!!!!!

I also don't have anything agains ShinjiXKaworu but that's for shounen-ai

Erm...how can you compare Satsuki with Asuka? o.O They're way different. Satsuki can get jealous, but she doesn't get physical (the painful kind of physical >_>) no

Satsuki pinches manaka... I did compare them as they are spontaneous, Satsuki is fine the way she is as for Asuka she just need to work a bit in her slightly vionlently personality. They did sayd during the series and the movie that it is like a defense mecanism for her, maybe if she had someone she trusts she would not be so much like that...
