the main reason I am absolutely disgusted by these mangas is the fanatic fan following. Some people I know assume that these are the only good manga out there, refusing to read anything else. I also really can't stand shonen epics anymore because they are silly.

All popular manga ends up being killed at one point or another.

They start off good, they make good moola, the company decides to make more moola with anime, drag on manga, etc etc. Hell, the author doesn't even have a choice. Any idea how pressured the DBZ author was?

It's a normal proccess that occurs frequently and we just gotta get over it. =[

Of course, doesn't change the fact of how much I dislike Naruto at the moment... That author will die before the series ends.

Never liked Naruto just because of the incredibly lacklustre artwork

I like reading Bleach quite a lot though and read the latest instalments as regularly as possible.

I don't hate them, they're alright in my books. It would have been WAY better if they didn't have the stupid filler arcs which sucked and took way too damn long. For naruto how long was it? Like 80 episodes, then bleach had one whole made up arc and I didn't like that much. They are overrated, but both of them had their moments. I love the comedic parts between Ichigo and Rukia, and the kiss between sasuke and naruto at the beginning.

yep i never liked bleach and i dont really like naruto but i am too deep into it to drop it if you know wat i mean. It is like driving too fast you cant stop in time so might as well step on the gas and see a bigger explosion.

i started disliking bleach over the past six months i just got tired of the plot holes of him getting weaker so they could have him get stronger again and then whine cry and get emoy... and i felt naruto has been hit or miss i just really dislike sasuke

i think that these anime/manga are popular by the young fans...but i think the older audience think its crap, compared to the anime/manga we`ve seen [ im pretty young myself, but i like old school stuff >.< ]

i cant stand naruto...i hate it with a burning passion. almost every character piss me off. there`s only one villian...itachi or orochimaru [ i think im behind i stopped reading the manga ]. it soo juvenile and dumb and the drawing is crap. i hate all the complaining...and the action sucks. they`re not even real ninjas. ninjas use stealth!

all my friends are telling me to watch bleach...but the truth is, im totally not interested in it. dunno why, so i cant talk crap about bleach.

but one piece is soo great (: its totally unique and different. love one piece til the end !

in the end, i think the young audience is totally responsible for these shounen popularity.

Problem with the Mangas like Naruto and Bleach, which my younger brother reads... and I will admit I have read, these series are dragging on towards nothing. Maybe in the beginning of the series they were interesting, I mean they were both new ideas, however as I reached further into the series I realised Naruto is a poor wanna be Dragonball Z... Naruto = Goku, Sasuke = Vegeta, Garaa = Frieza. And Bleach is suffering from a rerun complex, the new Arc is similiar to the Soul Society arc... Soul Society was save Rukia, fight the captains, Ichigo must unlock Bankai o and then fight Byakuya (Pretty much the strongest of the Caps)
Then new Arc is save Orihime (replaces Rukia), fight the Arancar (replaces captains) Ichigo must learn vizard trans (replaces Bankai) which he fights his inner hollow form too, which replaces his fight with Zangetsu, next it will be Ichigo vs. Aizen... Voila! Rerun Complex!

lol man you made my day! ok Naruto is shit and OP is gold?!? I was just reading this topic again for fun. The 1st part of your post is ok, but then your comment on OP made me laugh so hard! Thank you, but at the same time I'm sorry! I just couldn't help myself! I could understand it if you didn't label yourself as a "oldschool" comic reader. You're not mature if you think it's childish to relax with a shounen. I was once in that stage of my life when I considered myself a hardcore comic reader, and thought I had grown from any given shounen, marvel etc. Now I'm settled down with reading anything thats good. The gold with manga is that there are many stories with a personal touch! The crappy ones are the incorporated ones in most cases, no matter genre and demographic level. Keep in touch with your inner child, and enjoy a good shounen!

Don't particularly like the anime,the mangas were definitely better.The TV episode airings are mostly to generate revenue so fillers is nothing new.

I don't hate Bleach but I don't love it either nowadays.
As for Naruto, I'm starting to hate it. (: But I'm reading it anyways because I spent way too much time on it either watching/reading etcetera etcetera back in the days so I must well see how it ends.
