Maybe you should read other people's posts before you start giving your opinions. It's a fact that most people don't know what a sadist is, and even less of them read the first post of the topic. And your comment makes me even wonder if you actually even read my post before starting to critizise it. The actual point was if people know what it means, not if they are such. Also, 17.7% is a pretty big number for a sadistic personality disorder in some manga forum. Isn't it rather not that it sounds as if we refuse to believe it, but that you want to believe that it sounds like it?

I think I'm a sadist.

I have a grudge on someone, I hate her so much..she has brought shame to me and somewhat ruin my life.

I often fantasized myself physically assaulting her, biting off her neck and chest area if I happen to see her in public again. It's just an urge I had, I guess being straight doesn't matter when it comes to the need to show dominance over someone. And yes, I want her to suffer twice the pain she has brought to me... I might even squeeze her breasts, hard and listen to her screaming in agony. It makes me aroused thinking about it.

I am an extremely, and continuously, sadistic person. When I talk about the pain of others I laugh so hard I start to cry. I enjoy watching people in pain, especially when I cause it, I love breaking down people's mental state and making them suffer, exploiting their insecurities and such. I love the following tools and techniques, whips, ball-gags, ropes, chains, blindfolds, spanking, hot candle wax, normal candles, nipple clamps, laundry pins, toys, leather, leashes, collars, saddles, triangle horses, bridles, hot water, books, joysticks, I can think of a sadistic use for almost anything. I see petsmart as an S&M store, due to their large selection of collars, leashes, little rubber balls, customizable collar tags, etc. I would love to step on someone and walk on them or use them as furniture, a nice chair and table set. The more arrogant they are the better their faces when they fall.

Death is one of my favorite things as well. I got turned on by watching Higurashi, and the beginning of Elfen Lied was a really really big turn on for me. I loved the parts where Lucy would just indiscriminately slaughter everyone around her. Whenever I see someone hurt I get turned on. When I watch movies I laugh at the deaths of any and all characters, when watching Drive I laughed so hard my sides hurt and I could not stop laughing, due to the massive amount of suffering some of the characters were put through before dying. Burning, beheading, torture, dismemberment, disembowelment, I enjoy it all quite thoroughly. When I smile people who are familiar with me back off or become very very cautious, I very rarely smile unless something triggers my sadism, and that smile is a sadistic one indeed. Blood in one of my biggest turn-ons, just the sight of it makes my heart race and I start to twitch with excitement. Just by typing post this I have gotten turned on and I am on the verge of breaking into hysterical laughter and sadistic glee.

Why is sometimes and rarely an option on the poll? It's either you are or you're not. Even sadists have times when they want everything to be vanilla and calm. That being said, it's vice versa for regular (non sadist) people. They just sometimes have a craving or are in the mood for it, but that doesn't make you a sadist.

Concerning sadistic as in temperament though, we all have that in us. So sometimes and rarely are definitely not an answer. It's a human emotion. Get under enough stress, pressure or whatever and you get what you may call a sadistic streak or outburst. But if that is who you are on a daily basis then you are a sadist.

But to make sure we're on the same page here, we are talking about the sexual kind of sadist, right? Otherwise this would be in the Chatter Box rather than the 18+ board, no?

I am really calm guy most of the time, I feel sad when

Causing pain to others doesn't really make me feel bad, and vice versa, causing pleasure doesn't make me feel particularly good. However, since I don't care to see what the inside of a prison looks like, I keep myself in check and rely of what I've learned by watching others. Which is what any self-respecting sociopath does.

Being an S does not necessarily mean hurting people. Finding enjoyment from teasing people, wanting to hurt those you don't like mentally, such as the silent treatment, imagining being on 'top' in sexual fantasies - these could all be parts of being an S. If you fight back when you're backed into a corner, or aren't afraid to voice your opinions, and will get what you want no matter what. Being an S doesn't mean you'd actually like stabbing people, although there will always be an odd few.

As human beings, we have control over ourselves. Being 'S' or 'M' can just affect our personalities in certain ways. Self control here is the key.

Another hypothesis is that I was bullied a lot as a kid, maybe now I like to see the roles inverted, even if I would never like the situation in real life.
