Leave my zip drive alone! It's easy for me to use.. as you can see ^ above posts ^ I suck at computers.. And a lot of things happen to have been before your time. bigrazz laugh And I would burn them onto a disk... but I don't know how to to change the format or whatever (I just know how to burn/rip music) .. like I know a few people that burn music into a different format (though I don't know if format is even the right word.. no idea :/) So, I have to stick to something simple and sweet.. because I'm "old." laugh

I guess if someone could point me to a good site so I could learn these kind of things.. I wouldn't feel/be/look so stupid :/

'Til then, I'm just going to harrass all of you for answers bigrazz (not to mention, they actually make sense to me :/)

woah! I don't know what zip drives are laugh I thought you meant .zip or something, until Dr. Love said "before my time" bigrazz *googles*

Anyway... my printer disappeared (on Thursday) too!! I was so scared dead but I just unplugged and plugged stuff... and then it worked again. So, maybe the cable is lose? Or you can turn it on/off so your computer would start noticing the printer... maybe... because that's what I did too laugh

Oh~ you too?! bigrazz Nah, I just got done checking (with the help of Dr. Love)... and it's completely uninstalled :cries: Now, I'm gonna have to go buy a new printer, for the third time :/ Any recommendations?! I have a HP laptop.. so I kinda like to stick with HP (I kinda have a thing with all my electronics ect being the same brand for some reason.. :/)... but if there's one better, that's fine too. I kinda prefer an all-in-one (doesn't take up so much space).. but, whatever is good I guess.. I can just buy a scanner too.

An all-in-one is more practical, in my opinion.. I don't think it really matters that you need to buy a HP printer, just because you have a HP laptop.. I have a HP computer too, but with a Lexmark printer.. Though it doesn't matter, I think..

I have Epson Stylus DX6000 and it's quite good - printer, scanner and photocopier in one, you can print stuff straight from camera or pendrives. It's quite big, but... So yeah, I recommend it ;)

I have an HP one too! and it's also all-in-one =D I didn't like Epson, because it's loud... not sure about Layhe's printer, but mine was annoying at 4AM.

Yea, I definitely don't want anything that makes enough noise to wake the dead.. cause there's times I have to print stuff off late at night or early in the morning for work (and school) and I don't want to disturb one of my roomies, who's room is right next to my office/den.

For crying out loud, jinx, check the website of this printer's producer!! Or just give me the name and type, I'll find it. Ok?

I have 3 printers now, no use mentioning them. Or 4? Don't buy HP if you want to print a lot. Buy Canon or Epsus. Or just a laser printer...

I still wonder why did your printer's drivers dissapear...is your hard drive ok? I mean, maybe some bad clusters?

EDIT:
forgot about the contacts...they allow you to do things you couldn't do with glasses on ( for me it's horse riding and martial arts ). And if you use them without making the basic mistakes, you won't have any problems.

No, idea.. I went to go print and it just wasn't there anymore. I'm downloading some driver thingy off the the HP website (Dr. Love showed me which one to download cause there were two -thank you- ).. so I'm seriously hoping that'll work.... And no idea what "bad clusters" means. :/ But, that's the only thing that's missing.. everything else is working fine and is there.. so I don't think it's my hard drive, maybe ? Once Christmas is over (cause my is crazy busy at the moment), I guess I'll head over to Geek Squad once again to make sure it's just a fluke or whatever.. and not anything serious. I don't know exactly what happens when a hard drive crashes or whatever, but I'm assuming it sucks bigtime.

I don't know how it's elsewhere, but in Europe cartridges for HP printers are the most expensive, as well as the tech service ( and of course my father bought a HP printer when I was not around, lol ).

@jinx_you, first let's check if your computer still detects your pinter:
-make sure your printer is plugged and on
-Right click on "my computer"
-select properties
-from the window you have select the tab "hardware" (sorry if the names are wrong... been using a french windows for years now)
-from that tab click on the "device manager" button.
-A new window should open with a list of connected devices on the PC, search for your printer. Since it have problems, it's most likely to not be there at all, or if it's the way I expect it to be, it will be there, but will have a small icon next to it indicating the hardware is having problems.
-If you're lucky and the printer is in the list, whether it,s saying it's having problem or not.. it means that the computer is detecting it. So now we can attempt to solve it.
-right clock the printer
-select proprieties
-from the new window, select the tab "drivers"
-you have multiple options now.
-most likely to work would be to click "update driver" and hope windows will find the driver from Internet.
Well do half of that and tell me what you got f you actually got something and we'll see later.

Nope.. it didn't show up on the device manager anywhere.. nor on the change/remove programs (the Set Program Access and Defaults) :/ But, I downloaded that driver thing from the HP website that Lamb mentioned.... though, now I think I might need a new computer all together.. cause I asked someone.. and he thinks the -internal something thermal/tempature thing (whatever keeps your laptop cool)- is broken or malfunctioning.. which might be causing my hard drive to act up? Cause it felt hot.. and he said it should never really get hot (never noticed it before :/.. though I don't know anything bout laptops/computers to really begin with anyway).. and they'll probably just give me a new one (3 year Parts/Labors and Accidental warranty) cause it's not an easy fix or something :/

And thank you so much for the help again (everyone else too). I really appreciate it cause you don't/didn't have to answer/help but you did anyway. biggrin

Sorry :/ It never said what kind of Random Questions (just no 18+ stupid questions - only "relevant and that you've been wondering about")... :/ cry and that ^ kind of makes me feel even worse for asking 'em.. :/

.. but, I'm going to stop asking my (most likely/seems like) stupid questions now.. cause I'm probably annoying as hell :/ Sorry~

Anyways, question time.. I'm getting some contacts soon.. And I wanted to know the pros and cons of it.. Anyone that can help me..?

I've had soft contacts for 22 years now (yeah...I'm old...) and never had a problem. Follow the basic rules for taking them out, cleaning them, & replacing them (this will vary by type of lens) and you should be fine. biggrin
