seriously? i think history says Neil did.

Well, i agree conspiracy theories are somehow stereotiped, but there are points where there are reasonable doubts. We did believe (we humans) that the earth was in the center of the solar system, we did belive that the earth was plain and not spherical, etc. I know that the examples aren´t in the same level, but human knowledge and history isn´t exactly what you can call "true" or infalible. Maybe history will later prove we were right or wrong, or maybe not.

This conspiracy can be shot down in seconds by anyone with a degree in Astronomy, so ask at your local University.

Question: If there is no atmosphere on the Moon then why is the US flag waving?

Answer: The flag is reacting to the moon's gravity (About a quarter that of Earth)

Question: The photos of the Moon's surface shows no stars, so obviously it's on a stage somewhere

Answer: The photos taken by the landing team were taken during the Moon's daytime. You can experiment with this if you have an old shutter camera. Set the camera on daytime photography and take a picture of a starry night. The photograph will have no stars. Furthermore, the film showing dust being kicked up by the teams feet also prove that it was filmed in a vaccuum. When dust is kicked up on Earth, it creates a dust cloud (Try it at home, it's fun!). The moon dust didn't cloud, it fell back on the surface.

Question: No one could survive going through the Van Allen belt. The radiation would kill anyone! The Apollo spacecraft didn't have adequate shielding.

Answer: True, the Van Allen belt can provide radiation levels high enough to kill people when exposed to it for a period of time. The astronauts were in the Van Allen belt for a few seconds, not enough time to cause harm.

Question: Are you saying I'm crazy for believing the Moon landing was false?

Answer: No, just uninformed about how Astronomy works and probably too gullible.

Question: Oh, you think I'm gullible?

Answer: Well, I have a lovely ocean side beach house in Kansas for sale, dirt cheap. Interested?

Thank.you.

Anyway, http://www.redzero.demon.co.uk/moonhoax/, go wild.

Having those stitches or not, it's still moving, you know.
Or rather: you see.

There are maaany more proofs anyway.
The video xisaacbx posted is good.

Neil Armstrong himself at the end of the video almost admits that he lied to everyone and that the moon landing was fake. The link again ^^

That would totally explain the subsequent 4 or 5 (not counting 13) apollo missions that also went to the moon. The movement of the flag is what I'd consider gravity pulling it down? I'm assuming the just unfurled it as the photo was taken. Besides, why is everyone making such an emphasis on Neil? He's senile now with either parkinson's or alzheimer's cant remember which. There were 2 other people there too you know.

Yes, man landed on the Moon. But he wasn't American. His name was Mr. Twardowski and he did so in the 16 century. He sold his soul to the devil and wanting to escape the payment, he flew to the Moon on a chicken. Seriously.

Nah, that's just an old Polish legend. As for the question - I never really took any side in this argument. Whether the Americans landed on the Moon or not - I don't care.

Thank you for the link. Everyone who believes in this conspiracy should read this. It answers any questions you have. I'll re-link it here because that one leads to a 404 page (cause of the comma)

http://www.redzero.demon.co.uk/moonhoax/

If you don't want to go there then just read this:

Firstly the flag had a horizontal bar attached to it at the top. This was done so that the flag would stand out from the flagpole. NASA appreciated that there would be no wind on the moon, so any normal flag would just hang limply and unattractively down the pole. To make things look better they added a bar that stood out at 90 degrees from the pole. The flag was really hanging from this, rather than from the pole. The bar was also not quite the full width of the flag, so that it was slightly furled to give a 'wave look' to it.

The moon's surface, once you get past the thin layer of dust, is very hard. So getting the flagpole to stick in was a tough job. The footage shows the astronaut twisting the pole back and forth in order to try and get it further into the ground. This movement made the attached bar and flag flutter.

The flagpole itself was light aluminium that is quite springy. Even once the astronaut let go the pole would continue to vibrate. This in turn would shake the bar and flap the flag. Without any air to dampen this it would continue to do so for longer than you might expect.

I'm not so sure about the first moon landing but I'm pretty sure the rest actually landed on the moon.

i believe it.
if its about the flag, lets see you try filming a flaf fluttering with such tiny wrinkles on it. and with a cam from that time... and if it was shot in the middle of the desert, have any of you ever BEEN in a desert? there are mountains, there are living beings, and there are more rocks. and more sand.
