For those of you who have never heard of the series I suggest you go do some research, otherwise you'd miss out on the indisputably best cinematic game in history.

Honestly, it felt like I was watching an interactive movie. also the LONGEST movie of my life. But don't get me wrong, the gameplay was still amazing. In terms of the story, I won't give out any info until people actually get a chance to play it.

But to those who have beat it, did you feel like it was a good ending to the series?

Okay, please don't spoil! ;_; But hasn't it been released on the 16th, which is today? So, how can you have already finished it? o_o

Midnight releases were off the charts in that area too... it was an epic moment in gaming history.

Personally, I'm kind of neutral on the ending... though maybe I'll gain a bit more perspective after I play it again or something.

Yeah, the ending was very long, but you can't say that the last fight won't change video game history.

I have a PS3, and have heard good things about MGS4....but here's the thing about the previous MGS games:

You basically run through a few corridors, hide, shoot a bit and then the 30 min cut scene kicks in, where u see Snake doing all sorts of things like shooting while somersaulting or doing some virtua-fighter esque spinning 1080 backflip kick..... but then once the cutscene ends, you're back to running across corridors, hiding and shooting a bit again.... not being able to perform the cool stuff you see in the cut scenes.

I had lots of fun with MGS on the first Playstation, but got bored with the other's quickly. Yes, the cinematic quality is without peer, but I want to play a game. If I wanted cinematic art, I'd rather watch movies or anime.

I'll probably still check out MGS4, but maybe later. At the moment, I'm still playing Mario Kart Wii online and GTA in my free time.

and I can't believe Otakon's not dead yet, the retard.

O, the game play is really intense in this one, as it concentrates ALOT more on the sneaking aspect. And when I say alot more, I mean ALOT MORE
none none none

I really mean it, you need to be like a ninja in this one. . of course there are plenty of times when you have to go straight rambo.

Lot of people are complaining how long the cut scenes are. That didn't bother me a bit. I was so excited and wrapped up in the game and the story the 30 min scenes didn't phase me. Loved the game. Imo, best game out. Going through it on the extreme difficulty now. That is a bitch. Also, the video at the end of Act 3 was just amazing. Play the game if you haven't. Worth getting a PS3 for.

I have a PS1 and a PS2, but I don't have a PS3 yet. I'll be getting one soon though. I've neer played a Metal Gear Solid game, but I plan on starting the series soon.
