So I just checked Id's page and saw that apparently its publisher has gone bankrupt. That being the case I have a few questions for anyone out there who is more knowledgeable about the manhwa market.

-Is there a chance of it being picked up by a different publisher? Has something like that ever happened to a manhwa?
-How popular is Id in Korea (and thus, if there have been other cases where manhwa were picked up by different publishers, how likely is it in Id's case?)?

So sad to see this. It's a true shame that we may never see the ending to this series. Id is one of the most purely entertaining series I've read. It's a sad day.

It's really sad...
When some organization like this went bankrupted, the Authors and alike always faces many similar problems...like there contract being stuck...

Hope the publisher Kenny was associated with will let go of him, or will get back soon...^^

So no news on what's going to happen to ID yet?
This is sad to find out that after all this time the reason for the delayed update of ID was because the publishers has gone bankrupt. I hope there will be a future for ID sometime soon, this was a fun to read series.

I think there is no chance of that as I don't believe it has ever happened once before. When it does happen to regular Korean comics the author has to revamp everything, so better hope not.

-How popular is Id in Korea (and thus, if there have been other cases where manhwa were picked up by different publishers, how likely is it in Id's case?)?
The novel is - or at some point was - very popular, more so than the manhwa. It's best chance is to move to an online publisher. As it stands there are actually very few Korean publishers and a majority of their series happen to be imported mangas from Japan. There is only one or two publisher where all its content is all domestic. Also, recently more publishers have converted to online publications or are picking up more and more webtoon series. So Id looks to not be fairing well.

Browsing through forums it seems that vol30 will be released sometime in the next few months. A post dated back to July stated it would have been released 6 months from then. But that looks to be the last volume BB Comics will release, if it ever does.

Mangas changing publishers is not that uncommon. Manhwa follows the same principal, even more easy if the publisher went bankrupt, the difficult part is anyone wanting their "leftovers". In bankruptcy the rights of the manhwa get void or are sold cheap to another publisher. The problem is only, if in Korea there is an interested publisher that sees profit in acquiring a long run manhwa.
