LOVE this series

I love this series so much! I love Colette. I love Hades. I love that there are actual reasons that they love each other (not just "they were nice this one off hand time" ). I love ALL of the side characters - even ones like Kotsumi who I was initially, let's say unconvinced of. I love the tone - there's no melodrama. The series is so sweet and delightful to read. If you're a romance fan like myself, I can't recommend it enough.

Interesting and cute series with beautiful art (Hades is sexy AF). The only real issue I have is that, while I acknowledge that she's meant as a foil to Hades, Collette is a 'loved by everyone and rescued by enthusiasm' character type, which can definitely get tiring in a manga with a high number of chapters. Hopefully the mangaka will introduce more complexity in her personality/relationships with others, but maybe that's expecting too much from a generally lighthearted shoujo. Like another reviewer I also have some trepidation about the ending, but we'll see.

I very much hope that the series gets licensed or the scanlators return from hiatus!

Quite Interesting

This series is adorable in terms of the art, the characters, and everything else, too. It’s slow paced (no surprise if you look at the categories), but not dragging. With a combination of a gentle plot, light humour, and plenty of character growth, the story maintains an entertaining warmth. The story grows naturally out of the initial oneshots: it moves from episodic to a connected story. What makes this series so interesting, aside from the characters, is the mangaka’s take on Greek mythology. (One gets very used to applications of foreign mythology as well as aspects of Christianity, so this is both rare and an unusual take on something we westerners are so familiar with.) The presence of reincarnation is a bit irksome, especially since the Ancient Greeks did not believe in it (the Pythagoreans don’t count in this context, being far too minor a group, and one divorced from mythology), for one. Similarly, the absence of some elements is striking: most of the Olympians are missing along with other important gods, not to mention the majority chthonic populous, such as Hecate. Additionally, given Hades’ personality and his closeness to Demeter (not to mention Colette), how Persephone will be handled is an unavoidable concern (I have some theories about that; it’s hard not to). For those, we can only wait for the series to progress. I'm not asking for accuracy here nor extensive research, just that the care Yukimura-sensei has shown so far with the major elements of the story not be cast to the winds later on. It’s also great to see a strong-willed and independent female lead who does not eschew femininity and a dark male lead who isn’t a bad-boy kind of figure. All in all, it’s quite worth reading.

I have a feelings how this story is going to end but i might be wrong but if im right.. Man some sad-ish ending is coming (still HEA n this story is no where near done xD).. This manga is light hearted fun and so sweet! The romance is also cute too.. Everything is just adorable and hades is a looker. i am a supporter of Hades (outside of this story) and i have been saying for YEARS that Hades is just a lonely person who needs love....

Oneshots vs mainstory

The chapters that are out now, are actually all considered one shots. The author released a bunch of one shots for this series, and then the series became so popular, that the author decided to remake the story into an actual series. So the early chapter were remade. The new chapters are entirely different, almost like it is a different story, however, I've noticed that there were a few scenes that were reused. I was so confused by this at first, that is why I wanted to share this with everyone.

The story itself is very interesting, but so far I've only read the "oneshots", so I haven't yet begun to read the main story remake.

*Edit*

Actually... I think the main series actually continues off from the oneshots? Yeah, that's what it looks like.
