This story hits right into the feels. It leaves you feeling warm and sad at the same time. Also, like you want to hug the main characters, hoping for the best for them. It's still HE, mind you.

Absolutely LOVED this. I love supernatural type BL that has a touch of mythic folklore in it, plus this seemed to take place during the taisho era which is up my alley. The characterization was amazing, I especially loved the youkai leader and Chiyo-chan, their character designs were SO GOOD.
Oh god, the angst absolutely PULLED at my heartstrings and I wanted so desperately for a happy ending. I even thought for a second that it would end in tragedy. The final chapter made me cry a lot. I loved the themes of death and loneliness, since part of what makes us human is the fact that our lives are finite. Everything was constructed so well. I can't recommend this enough.

This is the second manga i finished from this mangaka. Really interesting story and characters. But later it got so sad and hit me in the feels. The ending got me curious and not fully satisfied....
