There definitely were some rough patches in this manga, but then again it's literally a story about awkward teenagers learning how to deal with their insecurities and growing up in various ways in the process, so those multiple bumps on the road they tumble on ultimately make sense for the characters' personal development. I don't really dislike that kind of approach, and it does still have a few cute moments that are quite sweet and less cliched than they could've been. The art is also not too bad, and the chibi drawings are especially cute.
