I really liked it! Each story is touching.
Stories about fairies and humans. It sounded laughable at first, because it's about fairies, with little wings and etc. But after the mangaka colored in the fairies's personalities and what they go through, I thought it was a good read. I don't think the summary did it's justice. This manga is more than just a shounen-ai story with fairies flying around.

The first chapter introduces the main character, Izumi. It's about his past with his bestfriend Hiroki. They have also introduced Joe, a fairy that has been with Izumi for a long time. It was a chapter that was filled with sadness and how the prideful and conceited Izumi was pushed down and heartbroken. It was a good chapter to start things off.

Second chapter is not related to Izumi but is related to fairies. A fairy named Ron has never tasted happiness. When he was born from a morning dew drop, he immediately was hungry, and had thought a nice scent came from a toddler named Ryuya. Ron chose Ryuya, and had been with Ryuya as he grew up and went through his rebellious days of fights and smoking.
I thought the ending to the chapter was really sweet.

Third chapter was sweet and funny. O-chiyo and Tasuke are fairies who always have the same taste in humans, and have always been together. This chapter just shows the relationship between the fairies. It was a nice chapter. And it was cutely funny at some times. smile

Chapters 4-6 are finally here. The sequel of the first chapter. It starts off with a punch. In the face, to be exact. *laughs at lame joke.*
Izumi had just gotten punched in the face by a man yelling,"What are you doing to my daughter!?"
It was all a misunderstanding. A girl by the name of Mari was being harassed by some guys in the streets, and Izumi tried to protect her but instead, had the crap beaten out of him.
Mari knew who he was, since Izumi was a famous novelist, and she took him to her house to tend his wounds (and get some autographs.)

Mari's father came home late, and saw Izumi and Mari a little too close to each other, causing a misunderstanding and thus resulted in a blow to the face.

The story leads on from there, the relationship between Izumi and Mari's Father, Seiichi.

A really sweet story. The ending was nice too, quite melancholic.

I just decided to do a review on this because I think it's an underrated manga. Great art, pulling stories, and although the ending was just, well, the end, it was good! I wish there was a short cute omake at the end, so it feels complete, y'know?

it was such a good read. adorable. i actually loved all the fairies, but Joe especially...
the art is good. the story was good too, and even unique. i mean about the aura eating fairies.
for me it was just right even without the 'short cute omake at the end' the previous reviewer talked about, though i wouldn't mind if it was added.... smile

A light to moderate read, if you ask me.

This manga is basically a light-read. You ponder on the thoughts of happiness once you end- or if you're in the middle of- the whole read. I did some diving, time and time again. I find myself taking some tips from this manga.

I only have one resentment though. I hate the way the mangaka ends each story. It's not half-assed. And I'm not an enemy when it comes to how it doesn't end all too happy or that it ends in an 'open' kind of way. I hate the fact that the ENDINGS FEEL LIKE THEY WERE CUT SHORT. Like they had something MORE to say but they simply lost their breath. GOD I HATE IT!

I also wasn't particularly fond of how one chapter -Fairies are Love Sprinklers, or something like that- went. It's not that I hated it. It's just that I felt like the mangaka decided to just go on and write a story of the two fairies and completely leave you hanging on to the idea it was going to swing back to the idea of the two boys presented earlier in the story.

I mean, COME ON, GURL! I thought we were gonna focus on the people these fairies are gonna stick with. If the author wanted to focus on the relationships of the other fairies as well, she may as well worked it into the first chapter as well and not just BLAST you in the face with a story that starts with the two of them finding a human who's a loser -as they both say- then ends with them having this new stage in their relationship introduced and slowly taking shape.

The rest of the manga is ok. I stopped thinking too deep and sat in my thoughts halfway after the mentioned chapter.

It was sweet...

There is no loophole, no over-the-top drama and such. I think it should have been categorized under slice of life, if it wasn't for the fairies. It is usually harder to tell a slice of life, but the author certainly pulled it off.

I really love how the author managed to capture the character's emotional progress. It is very rare, and rather refreshing for a protagonist to do something hurtful to others with a selfish motive in mind.

In conclusion, this is a good read for more "mature" audience. If you like josei and Miyamoto Kano, this might be the one for you!

What an adorable and unique collection of inter-related stories! There's a beautiful harmony and balance in this collection of stories. They play on the strings of my heart as the characters go through their emotional journeys, and they stimulate my brain with their subtle discussions on the elemental human desire for happiness.

The art and delivery are quirky--both gentle and sharp at the same time!
