Description
1-5) Darling Long Legs
Ah, where there are innocent and cute young men there will always be older rich men who love them secretly from the shadows and support them anonymously. This one is a bit funnier than most with the D.L.L. having a neurotic side.

6) A Day in the Life of Mr. Azuma.
The story takes place 10 years later as Mr. Azuma describes his life with Prince Luke to Yuuya.

I read this as a comedic parody of yaoi clichee (foreign prince, daddy-long-legs, office romance, etc.) and as such, it was awesome! Hilarious characters, hilarious dialogues, hilarious plot ! I suppose this story was (probably?) made to be taken seriously, but as a joke it has so much more potential... ^_^

I was prepared to hate this story, not really liking the subject matter, but since I was catching up on this mangaka's works, I decided to read it. And was pleasantly surprised.

Not as crack-tasic as a Miki Araya work, but if you take this as a parody, then you'll quickly see the humor in it. There is a complete and satisfying story. Soft yaoi, with good, if not fantastic, art.

The President/Prince/Daddy-Long-Legs is both a intelligent and a competent manager (when his secretary manages to keep him from stalking his lover), who genuinely cares for Yuuya's wishes and aspirations.
Yuuya is an uke with backbone, and not totally wishy-washy.

While the main/first part of the story is good, I really enjoyed the follow-up of after they're together for some years. And yes, I like the secretary too.

well, that wasn't much. unrealistic set-up, and then not enough was done with any of it to make up for that. the later "crisis" development was also non-sensical -- exactly how was that resolved? it's never said, which means the reader got all wound up for nothing. but worst of all, i didn't feel the love between the main characters; they just never clicked for me. part of that was because they were both so generic; mere shadows of what fictional characters can be. the age difference didn't bother me; heck, yuuya was more mature at 20 years younger than his other half.

the art didn't do anything for me; there's nothing inventive or interesting here. the sex? was there sex? oh yeah, there was. not hot. might as well not have bothered. i got so bored while reading this that i had a hard time even finishing.

Oof, big age difference here. I'm not too irked by a 20 year gap since it's fiction, but just a warning to those who aren't as tolerant. Anyway, what to make of this... pretty average? Characters were fairly interesting in terms of personalities with the balancing act of innocent, silly and strict. Relationship between Yuuya and the pres/prince/manager felt empty and a bit too quick. I didn't feel that spark between them and felt little connection to the characters themselves. The interaction between pres and Azuma was better, with Azuma turning out to be my favourite of the three main characters, so I was glad he was given a chapter from his view at the end. Art wasn't too bad, some bishie worthy moments and the plot was meh, okay I guess, but the whole DDL thing wasn't really incorporated as well as it could have been. Plus side was the humour, didn't have me on the floor but did crack a smile. Well, I think I'm trying to like it more than I actually do, but there's too little that stood out for me. Read to pass some time. Don't expect anything too amazing.
