Read and Reread

I read this already one and a half years ago and thought it was awesome. I'm usually weary about rereading manga because my opinions tend to change and I will not like it as much, but Kitchen Princess was not disappointing at all. Is it totally cliche and predictable? Yes. But that doesn't mean it's bad. Also because I do love cliche romances, if they're pulled off well. The art was quite nice, although not spectacular, it is far better than a lot of other manga I have read.

I don't think this is a good story for everyone, especially if you read to compare. But it's what I think a good shoujo manga should be: cute with a certain amount of depth and pretty boys to stare at.

Oh mann, all the food in the story made me hungry and I was soo eager to try out all of the recipes (haha). I was really disappointed that one of them died, omg, it was so tragic, I cried so much, but other than that, it was a really good manga that kept me going. I would like it better if the characters are more into each other, and maybe the author could add another chapter describing their relationship, since there weren't that many. Overall, I really enjoyed the manga! <3

It was okay at the beginning, but then something died. I only kept reading to the end because I'd already read most of it, so not finishing it would've been a waste. The characters were kind of stereotypical and cliched. Good for those new to the shoujo manga world.

Solid

Makes the signifigant accomplishment of doing some well-worn story idea well. The inordinately kind heroine who eventually turns all her enemies into friends, the refined boy vs. rough-edged boy love triangle, the quest for a figure from childhood, all managed to actually maintain interest and emotional weight.

It has a habit of keeping the plot churning with sudden, unexpected developments and while these work pretty well, after the first few, they may seem a little contrived. The ending is also not quite as strong as its proceedings. These shortcoming are very minor, and anyone who ever reads any shoujo needs to give it a try.

Then this is the best series for you to start with. Cute story all the way around and I really enjoy the art. The character development gets to be pretty deep. This is an all around good read.

I seriously fell in love with all the characters in this manga. Although you could say its kinda cutesy and stuff i really liked how everything ended well.. except when Sora died =(... that ripped my heart out Overall this manga was a good read and i dont regret reading all 10 volumes at all! it felt really short to me actually! I recommend it. simply amazing like the taste of Flan wink (haha ok tht was kinda gay but YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. haha)
OH THE ART IS REALLY GOOD TOO!

An average manga abt cooking and romance

Aside from the nice art about baking and cooking, i have to say that the manga is quite boring and there isnt much going on in the story line. I like Najika though. She is an honest, outgoing and caring girl. However, as it was mentioned by some readers, the mood of the characters changed too fast and therefore the stories didnt leave much impression.

I found this manga to be incredibly boring and cliched. Najika comes across as being bipolar - her mood swings from extremely depressed to happy in just a few pages which makes her unlikeable and fake and the ending is super predictable.

On the plus side there were some good pictures of food and some nice recipes but other then that there wasn't a lot going for it.
