A little gem

This just happened to be a beautiful but extremely cruel manga for it to allow the characters to live in both denial and acceptance of reality in the sense they tried to balance marriage, family values and desires through lies (as hinted by the title). Strangely but gladly, the comedy wasn't overpowering though it did dominate and the mangaka did not try to sugar coat the truth but rather blended itself in, creating bitter sweetness. The flow of events is a little bit faulty, however i do believe the manga managed to patch itself up as the story came to an ending. It appears paul's past wasn't as pointless as i thought since it contains a quite important motif!! I'll have to warn you though, the manga will leave you in a bizarre state of both joy and melancholy; a quite pleasant aftertaste neither less. ^.^

I thought this was different from your mainstream yaoi manga's. The story gives you glimpses of the characters being attracted to each other and throughout the whole story that feeling is maintained. I thought it was presented in a realistic yet surreal manner which is quite refreshing from what you see in regular yaoi manga's.

This is something AMAZING, i have mixed feelings,i want to cry and be happy at the same time.
The characters are the best, and what happens is really nice.
ThE End i didnt hate it, is just that is not your typical manga so theres no typical end or maybe it is, but not the happily (together) ever after.
Its definitely worth the read and i wish this story would go on forever, but it cant be. Yeah its like the end didnt show what i really wanted, but at least we can dream its going to be that way ^_~
After all Jonathan doesnt seem to be able to let go of Paul and vice-versa

.. i really felt the main characters were so real? it feels as if i knew them in person(im just really interested in those two, pure love.) and not seeing them again is just upsetting... i need a new yaoi now! lol

I'm not really sure how I feel about this one. It seems like two thirds or so of the story is missing. The humor is more potential, than actualized. But I like art, the concept, and I'll keep reading, but I'm not expecting closure (and I like closure), just more questions. Maybe a re-read will help.

Update: Just got the last chapter, and it helped tie things up, at least for me. In my opinion, it lives up to the rating I gave.

This isn't your typical BL manga. You only see glimpses of the stories and characters. I'm not even sure the main characters are in a real "love story" as told by many BL manga. Looking past the surface, it does have a lot of depth. Paul is a great character. It's a bit sad when you consider he can't be true to himself and remains married to a woman he doesn't even seen to like. It is very funny and quirky, but there is much more there. I did put it off as nothing but a silly comedy until I read the story of Daniel and Paul. It was very touching. It's worth reading the manga simply for chapter 4 and 5.

ETA : as the story progresses it gets a lot less quirky one shot humor and really takes a nice turn towards drama. I'm so conflicted by the story though. Even though Paul is married and cheating on his wife I can't dislike him. I actually really pity the guy despite his flaws. You also see a lot more feelings and emotion between the couple. I love the direction it's going. I also get the feeling the two will NEVER actually work out, but I'm completely okay with that and don't see it as a bad end at all.

This is hilarious, in a non-traditional sense

I'm rating this a 9, simply because I want to keep reading to see what develops, (usually I give a rating this high only after I've read the entire piece. I may change my mind after I've read it in its entirety, of course, but for the moment, I rate it a 9).

This piece is so hilarious. It is a series of short vignettes, with the reader supplying the inbetween moments. The chapters are short incidents in the life of two people who are in the process of forming some relationship (we don't know exactly how deep or even of what sort, really). I found the first two chapters very funny, and the third has left me wanting to know what is going to happen next. The humour is very...odd... but I found myself laughing out loud, very hard. So much so that my family came running in to see what I was reading... 0_o

The nature of a vignette is such that it often leaves the reader at a loss, because the reader has to supply all the 'inbetween' moments. I usually don't really like stories of this nature because of this. But I find myself likeing this work and wanting to know more about the characters. Perhaps as the series progresses (and we can read them), then the chapters won't feel so disconnected to some.

Well, it definitely could have been done better.
The events are a bit forced and artificial in nature.
It's like the author had some scenes in mind (which were quite good),
but had no idea how to stick them together.
No joints = achy bones. ;3

They're both charming in their own way.
Especially the seme.
Shame it's all kind of clouded by the poor flow of events.
