I liked the idea of everything starting from the protagonist's dream of the male lead dying in a supposedly prophetic dream and it did... sort of. ovo;
[Spoiler alert about the manga plot! It's vague but essentially describes the whole plot 'kay?]

Honestly the manga ends with them not exactly solving the dream but giving a solution to what the dream was and how it was a premonition that was really strange... :I
(It might just be me though...)
The protagonist, Riu, after dreaming about the male dying multiple times, finally discovers who it is which is Rui, the male lead. Then after a certain...incident with her father getting hurt, she then convinces her brother to let her solve the mystery behind what happened along with figuring out the dream with Rui in it and how to prevent him from dying. She goes off and eventually figures out who hurt her father and protects Rui from getting what she thought was a fatal injury [it wasn't but I guess that's all the dream was for because she stopped dreaming it after]. They then guess that it was a dream about something that happened in their past lives and it was supposed to remind them to not let him die again or whatever. I dunno, I just think that was a weird way to solve the dream. ._.
Also there's romance but I don't get how they fall in love and when they fell in love. As in, there's hints of romance over the course of the 10 chapters but not enough for sudden romance between the two at the end... [Might just be me again...]

I read this a couple years back and suddenly remembered this manga. I didn't remember the title, only the storyline, at last, I'm here! It was an enjoyable read for me. The art is pretty & the plot, ooh, it's got some spice, some mystery~! Will read this again~!
Shoujo mixed with well thought out mysterious plot

For a 2 volume length series, the characters feel very developed and distinctive. Most characters are likeable. There aren't any out of the blue rapey-ish male characters. Despite being a shoujo genre, the series doesn't have the typical ridiculous or senseless misunderstandings. With that said, the romance is weak with the mysterious aspect more focused.
The art is good and the character designs are distinguishable from each character.
To the reviewer who said the series is confusing, it isn't. If you pay attention the plot and analyze each characters' motives, it's actually quite predictable. Moreover, if you have a lot of experience in the mystery genre, this series a joke of a mystery plot.
There are some shortcomings. The main character's powers were not explained. The ending felt somewhat rushed but everything was concluded well for the series' main mystery plot. I suspect that these issues were probably addressed in the novel but since the manga is only 2 volumes long, it's understandable that some background plots were omitted.

I LOVED the art. It was so clean and graceful. The guys were all bishies and Riu was beautiful too. The end wrapped up a little abruptly - I would have liked to see the romance develop a little further. The political intrigue of the Kabuki world was pretty interesting and the overall theme that stood out to me is that nobody is how they seem to be. I am pretty impressed, especially since this is the mangaka's first work.

i have only read the description but it says the two main characters are a rui and a riu. could this author have put any less effort into naming the protagonists? they arent twins or even related so i dont understand why their names are so annoyingly similar. i would think it would only cause unecessary confusion for the readers. saying all that, i still plan to check this out once it gets a few chapters under its belt
