it's fun. i always wanted to read more about the alternate universe of chapter 26 of the anime

I liked this series so far. It was a good change from the dark and dreary world of Evangelion. However, it is a bit cliched which turned me off. There are 10 volumes though and only 7 chapters scanlated, so unless any more chapters are posted I can't really give this series a rating. I'm a big sucker for romances stories, and this one is simple and fluffy which is good when I want a quick and easy read.

However, don't expect anything groundbreaking. -_-

WHAT?!?!? Rei... Rei has a sense of HUMOR??!?

IMPOSSIBLE! no, just CREEPY! (although better than the terrible, terrible dark depressing ... you get it... in the main story), well not better, but a brief relief.

I won't say what the story is about since the "Description" section already gives you a brief introduction of the background, but I will tell you what of what is expected by reading this. In my opinion, this is a wonderfully made series with a good balance between action, romance and school life aspects and completely overshadows other Neon Genesis Evangelion spin-off series in terms of both depth of plot, story and character development and the overall quality. Although there have been no appearances of the actual EVA units up to the point of Chapter 75 (for I am privileged with being able to read the CHINESE scanlations), the story does have a lot of action scenes which I will not detail here in case of spoiling it. Character-wise, some of the characters have personalities different from the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series. However, by no means does it make the characters anymore enjoyable to follow. Although set in the alternate universe, there are numerous plug suit appearances (which would please lots of readers) and also multiple references to the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series throughout the story such as the ideals of NERV and SEELE. There are LOTS of limited fan service which only spices up the story and by no means, degrade this series to a hentai resemblance. I give this series a 9 out of 10 and recommend all Evangelion fans to give it a shot.

THIS...so-called "alternative" reality of Evangelion makes a very good example of how Evangelion looks like if it's degrading from a kickass mecha psychological plot into a dumb draggish-Harem-ish-FLUFFISH 'pairings' plot.....

Shinji Ikusei Keikaku takes place in an alternate reality where girls still wear bloomers, Rei has a sense of humor and every other scene involves Asuka trying to get into Shinji's pants. Yes, I bet you all love it you freaks.
