I live in the real world... Reading is a means to escape it (and a way to understand things better) so why bother reading a tragedy? But! I'm giving this series a shot. I, so far, like the two main characters and the art is very pretty. I'll admit that I'm partial to "supernatural, magical powers" type manga's.. However, I didn't decided to read it based on that. I like an "under-hero". (not anti-hero) One who doesn't want to be a hero but will end up being one anyway (or.. that's how the manga seems to be going). Ruyu is a stubborn, (but not in the extremely annoying tsuadere.. or whatever type of personalities, way), thoughtful, wants to be/but doesn't want to be attached to people, kind of person. Sanran is a silent type of character who knows what must be done, and despite seemingly being uninterested in Ruyu, he still decides to be with her (as to why, there are a couple of things, maybe.. but you're left unsure as to why he really does). Plus, you're not too sure what he's thinking anyhow. He's an interesting guy. Granted, I'm not too fond of his disproportioned hair, but I'm gonna try to let it slide.. I'm giving it an 8 rating. For now.. if it gets too tragic, I'm gonna drop it.


Even still this series "magic" is very interesting and cool (looking) just wanted to point it out. *laughs*
