But this manga was very boring and had a random plot that to me had no depth and proper storyline to it. Artistry was not that great either.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
starts off with a girl getting to love in her grandmothers property. She soon discovers that vampires live there. She was planning to sell it but for some reason decides not to. She randomly hits him because he is always trying to be affectionate to her (in his own ways). She seems to be simple minded when it comes to love because she doesn't seem to understand what feelings are. Some old friend comes and "stirs" things up by fighting the vampire and the other vampire "servant" keeps randomly butting in for no reason whatsoever. She then realizes she likes him but still doesn't let him show affection whenever he feels like it. Then they kiss because of a play. The end?! Really dumb story. There was no proper back story on why they were somehow homeless. As well as why she came to live in the house with 2 men by herself and why her mom was totally fine with it.
Side story: was cute actually. But again no detail.

Aside from Bloody Kiss suffering from the usual shoujo tropes (inexplicably sudden romance, bad boy love interest, strong-for-the-sake-of-being-strong lead, vampires, social outcasts, etc.), it also suffers from some flaws of its own. First, the "special" heroine. I absolutely hate it when mangakas (or any storyteller) feels the need to have their characters say that the protagonist is special in some way. It's totally unnecessary, and it looks ridiculous when you put such an obvious effort into fluffing up your lead. Second, what's with the pseudo-rape? I realize that nothing sexual happens, but the protagonist is forced into an intimate moment, and that was a little uncomfortable.
I just can't recommend this unless you're super into vampire romances, and you've already exhausted every other vampire romance manga in existence. Well, maybe not to that extent, but my point is that this genre has been done again and again, and this isn't even a very good rendition of it, so you might as well try something else.

Its a pretty sweet story and leaves a decent impression considering its only 2 volumes in length. Its a pretty standard vamp romance with a few small twists but there isn't anything bad about that... my only concern is the ending, it didn't really feel like the ending as you are unsure of whether or not that 5% chance ended up happening.... would have liked to see that but I guess its fine as is. Not the best but certainly not the worst, its worth a read.
It's alright

If you love vampires and shoujo manga, then I think you might enjoy this. There's nothing special about it, but it's a quick read and not a complete waste of time as there are cute moments and the art is nice to look at.

In some ways, this one is full of fail. We have a vampire who falls for a human girl who inherits the run down mansion he's squatting in that eventually [in volume two] decides he is going to follow her to high school... during the day and sunlight. There's even one or two bishi sparkles moments, but at least he has serious business fangs. If you keep your expectation fairly low, this one can be enjoyable.
Good as an introduction to the shoujo genre

Bloody Kiss is a very generic shoujo manga. It's got most of the cliches in it, and most of the stereotypes as well. Characters are one dimensional and other than the occasional
The main girl, Kiyo, moves into a big mansion that houses two vampires. There is absolutely no explanation on vampires by the way, and Kiyo readily accepts them as real (realism is thrown out the window here). One of them sets his eyes on her and decides to make her his 'bride'. A bride means to be a bloodslave to the vampire forever, but in a romantic sense. Sort of, it still comes off as creepy. The mangaka wastes no time in getting this ball rolling, and basically it goes like this:
Girl moves in with vampires - vampire decides to make her bride - girl gets blood sucked a lot of times - girl needs to decide whether to become his bride.
That's the entire story of Bloody Kiss. Any other character aside from the main girl and guy, are stock characters to fill up pages with dialogue (the second vampire only exists to appear in one panel in an entire chapter), they're nothing interesting. Then in the second volume a new character gets introduced, Kiyo's childhood friend. At the time I thought finally, something interesting was going to happen, but no, it gets quickly pushed to the side and it's really just a missed moment of character development.
That said, while Bloody Kiss is generic with bland characters and almost no plot (lotsa pages with just blank panels or filled with flowers), it is a great way to get introduced to the shoujo genre, since it's so cliche that you'll only like this if it's one of your first shoujos, when everything is still fresh and new to you. If you've read many shoujos before, your opinion will probably be the same as mine.
Didn't like the art either, it seemed like the mangaka had a hard time drawing the main guy vampire, since every once in a while he'd look quite different than the panel before.

The story is not really original, but it is short, and entertaining enough to read for its 2 volumes. I would only recommend this to those who like stereotypical shoujoness, or if you are bored at the moment and want a quick read. The art is very pretty.

I was surfing a manga website when I saw this manga title. The summary and the picture really interests me, so I decided to gave it a try. It turned out that I was really lucky that I chose the right manga. I read it a lot of times because, the manga never fails to amuse me. All my classmates that I recommended this manga to also fall in love with it.
Lovely artwork. Storyline is cool.

Not a bad manga but I'm used to read more mature stories. I first liked the girl, and finally she happens to be too common. It's bad that he bites her so early, I would have liked that their relation's much deeper before that :/.
not the worst I've read

The art is decent in this one. The story, however, is flat and one dimensional. The plot is very simplistic, and revolves around the vampire trying to get the girl. Nothing else. It's not even very creative. The characters are shallow and flat. The short story at the end of volume 1 is just stupid and pointless. This manga picks up a little in volume 2, with the addition of another character. Still, it's not enough to save this sinking ship. The female lead is ditzy, stupid, and flip-flops all over the place. The end is lame. The short story at the end of volume 2 is the best part of it. It had more substance than the whole series. I find it interesting that this short story was one of the mangaka's earliest works.
